When it comes to in-shower storage, there is usually room for a maximum of three products. And so, when choosing which (typically large) body wash bottle is worthy of renting such prime real estate, it’s not a decision we take lightly.

You had me at warm vanilla body wash!
Haha! Same here!
I like trying new things, but Cetaphil is always in my shower. It makes my skin freakishly soft. I use it before a date.
I love Cetaphil too. No nonsense!
I like the sounds of the Method Pure Peace..sounds like a very relaxing one to use,
So many great products will definitely consider looking more at Body Washes mostly use PH balanced liquid Shower Soap with Natural Sea Minerals.
Im using Dermaveen at the moment but although its great on the skin I do miss having a wonderful scent so I tend to swap my body washes around. I have a passion for citrus scents.
I do the same Meedee!
I have the Nivea in shower moisturising lotion – been using it for years
Using a Sukin body wash for sensitive skin at the moment. I prefer unscented ones.
Generally unscented is better for your skin.
Happy to try any of these, my preference is towards fruity scents though.
Lush has some really nice shower gels. I’ve tried the Dove one listed here and liked it.
My cupboard is loaded with BodyShop shower gels although currently I’m using L’Occitane icy verbena which is eyewateringly fragrant!
That sounds divine!
QV or Dermaveen are always in my shower my husband can only use the most gentle of washes because of his allergy’s. I actually do prefer the scent free washes as they don’t clash with my body lotion or perfume.
Still a fan of Method.
I think aveeno will always be my favourite
All wonderful brands.
Just ran out of body wash 2 days ago! Have been using shampoo instead. Need to get something….something that smells gorg.
I also absolutely love the Method shower gel. Great value, smells amazing, pretty hard to beat really.
I couldn’t possibly be without my absolute favourite L’Occitanne Almond! Yes, it’s a bit on the exy size, but the bottle lasts for ages and you really do get what you pay for this this gorgeous stuff!
clayfresh is really nice!
Love them all
Hard to go past Loccitane Almond shower oil… worth every cent
I love Mor Marshmallow oil so the body wash for me is a must.
I’m not really a body wash person. I prefer soap. I use different brands and types.
I have previously tried the Dermaveen years ago & I hated the texture. I ended up giving it to someone else.
I tried Nivea after watching some TV advertising. It promised moisturised skin. I couldn’t seen in difference. I’ll stick to soap.
I love shower gels. Make cleaning the shower so much easier than when I use soap
I’ve moved back to plain bar soap in an effort to reduce my plastic use. So whilst these look nice, I won’t be purchasing any.
I do like soap bars
I like to try different body washes. I like that there are so many affordable options
I tried the Method one through a trial. Lovely fragrance and inexpensive too. I love the jumbo liquid soaps from the Body Shop.
Love shower gels. Much prefer than just soap.
I always use The Body Shop ones, they smell so good!
I’ve tried the QV body wash and absolutely love it its fantastic for the face and body. It’s so gentle. Anything QV I love 😀
lOcctaine body wash looks good but is it expensive?
I have tried the Sukin body wash, it’s great .
My Nivea in Shower Body Lotion has a permeant spot on my shelf (ie probably the last 5+ years) not because it is great but because I don’t use the thing as it makes the base of the shower so slippery that I see my life flash before my eyes when I step into the shower.
I should just chuck that thing out.
Qv and dermaveen are always at our house. I have been using organic care for a few years and started using the brand thank you
My vote is for dermaveen not just the body wash but also the moisturier.
I do love the nivea in shower body lotion. I use it when I know I can’t be bothered applying body lotion when I get out of the shower.
I’ve been using Dove for ages. Also used some of the Palmolive ones. It all call comes down to the scent and the large 1L bottle or pump so I don’t have to replace as often.
Surprised Jurlique didn’t get a mention! I use the body wash and the lotion. Lovely!
I love L’OCCITANE Almond Shower Oil.
I also love the nivea body wash as it is so creamy when I use it. It also leaves a lovely smell on my skin.
One of my family members have skin dry skin problems and he has been loving DermaVeen Extra Hydration Gentle Soap-Free Wash ! It’s an amazing product
I don’t feel the need to use any body wash . I don’t get very dirty or sweaty so I use water and acne wash on my pits so my crystal deodorant works more effectively.
I much prefer body wash to soap. I’ve used the Dove, the QV and the L’Occitane. All good.
As someone who tries to use good soap instead of body wash -just to save on the plastic factor – I must confess that I have used and LOVED the L’Occitane Almond Oil which is exquisite (and has a cult following for a reason!!) and also loved the Method Pure Peace body wash which is also gorgeous!
I have also used the Nivea In-shower body lotion but it just felt funny to moisturise IN the shower! LOL!
Great information collated here. Inspired to try a couple on this list
not the biggest fan of many of these tbh cause I have quite sensitive skin. But QV’s not too bad, gets the job done
My fav out of this lot would be Sukin.
That method packaging looks cute
Some nice recommendations. I prefer body washes over soap.
We are opposite then! I do lots of exericise.
