Beauty tips worth stealing from Delta Goodrem’s Vogue cover

Confession: I’m a little bit in love with Delta Goodrem’s recent hair and make-up combos on The Voice. Yep, my beauty editor roots are adoring all the burnt red lips, textured ponytails, bronzed, glowy skin, voluminous top knots and pretty plaits. I just can’t get enough.

But then I saw this, beauties, and I was floored.

Delta Goodrem on the July cover of Vogue Australia, out June 6th.

Good news, though – I’ve managed to pick myself up off the floor just so I can dish out some wonderful hair and make-up tips worth pinching from Delta and her Vogue cover. Phew!

BEAUTY TIP WORTH STEALING: Bold, filled-in brows do phenomenal things for the face.
To recreate Delta’s magnificent pair of face-framers, use an eyebrow pencil one shade lighter than your natural brows and fill them in using light, upward strokes. Running the spoolie (the brush end of the brow pencil) through your brows afterwards will help give you a natural but groomed finish.

BEAUTY TIP WORTH STEALING: Nude lips work well with a contoured cheek.
Most chicks (erm, me!) are a tad afraid of nude lips for fear of looking dead. A contoured cheek prevents this, as it not only highlights and adds definition to that area of the face, but enhances the colour of the lips, too.

BEAUTY TIP WORTH STEALING: going sans mascara promotes youthful, fresh eyes.
Want to look younger in an instant? Ditching mascara will do just that. Simply pop a bold hue on your lips once you’re done with your foundation and blush to help you feel a little more ‘done’ and you’ll look notably younger. Easy.

BEAUTY TIP WORTH STEALING: Smudged bronze eyeshadow around the entire eye socket makes blue eyes pop.
The eyeshadow family of browns, taupes and bronzes love blue eyes, so if you’ve got them, utilise these hues. Taking the colour around the entire eye area – not just the upper lid – frames the iris, making them pop even more.

BEAUTY TIP WORTH STEALING: Side-ponytails aren’t just for schoolgirls.
Make like Delta and create a deep side-part, before securing your hair low on one side. Allowing textured, face-framing layers to fall either side of your face will add a bit of mystery and amp up the sex factor, too.

What do you think of Deltra Goodrem’s cover for Vogue Australia? And what beauty tips do you want to pinch from her hair and make-up look?
