Say you want a resolution

So you’ve vowed to volunteer, sworn to scissor your credit card and promised to wear everything in your wardrobe at least twice before donating it. These are all very commendable and worthy commitments indeed. Best of luck.

At last count, 75 per cent of Bh readers have already admitted being not so great at keeping New Year’s resolutions. And, this year, I refuse to be a statistic. I too resolve to make the world a more beautiful place; I’m just starting with the woman in the mirror…

I vow: to treat my hair right

I pledge to let not tong, iron or dryer near my hair without thermal protection. And I shall show my long, suffering locks the same respect as my skin with weekly nourishing masks and SPF coverage.
I need: RPR Hair Care Protect My Hair with Wildberries ($17.95), Kerastase Paris Nutritive Masquintense ($50), PPS Hairwear Silk Moisturiser with Solar Protection (from $2.95).

I vow: to get organised

It’s either streamline my exploding beauty bags, bathroom cupboard and bedroom bureau or move.
I need: I Nuovi Pro Box ($420), a three-tiered, leather-look professional beauty case.

I vow: I will not forget my feet

At this point I have very few options left: swear off heels forever or save my soles with regular pedi and pamper sessions. Let’s not do anything drastic…
I need: Creative Nail Design Spa Raw Earth Mini Tote ($104.95), which includes mineral-enriched soaks, masks and scrubs plus a glossy polish.

I vow: not to snack so much

If it’s not entirely of fruit or vegetable origin, it will not pass these lips between balanced lunchtime and equally healthy dinner. But if I must suffer, I will do so in style.
I need: Maximum willpower and Joey New York LipFit Lip Gloss in Sugar Less ($19.95), a peppermint, grapefruit and spearmint-infused gloss that plumps your lips while curbing the cravings that threaten your hips.

I vow: to feed my face properly

An apple a day keeps the doctor away – and square serves of natural antioxidants keeps the dermatologist at bay.
I need:Ilcsi Organic Skincare Rich Carrot Mask (in salons) and A’kin Rose de Mai Anti-Oxidant Day Crème ($35.95).

It’s never too late – make your resolution now! Together, I truly believe we can succeed and make this world a beautiful place. Big, gorgeous things start with pretty small steps…
