- Lady Gaga has launched her very first makeup line, Haus Laboratories. Australians can shop the range (from liquid-to-powder eyeshadow to stick on eyeliner wings) at amazon.com.
- Weleda’s Body Butter has been named Europe’s best “free from” skin care product thanks to its broad array of product qualities and attributes.Free From Skincare Awards’ co-founder Alex Gazzola congratulated Weleda, saying “we look for so many different qualities and attributes – performance (both daily and long-term), quality of ingredients, clarity of labelling, value for money, versatility, among others – and it simply did very well on all counts,” he explained.
- MCoBeauty have announced Sophie Monk as their newest ambassador, also revealing that Sophie is set to launch her own affordable lip collection. “Growing up I remember not having enough money to buy the makeup I wanted. I dreamed of buying high end, quality makeup. All I wanted [was] for it to be affordable. Finally MCo nailed it,” Sophie wrote in an Instagram post about the announcement.
- The Body Shop has announced its B Corp certification, the only business authority that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. Certified B Corp companies meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
- Maybelline New York has announced the brand’s newest face, 21-year-old French-Chinese model, Estelle Chen. “We’re so thrilled to have Estelle join the Maybelline New York family. Estelle’s diverse background lends to her versatile, down-to-earth character that makes her relatable to our global customer,” said Maybelline New York global brand president, Trisha Ayyagari.
