Big news in beauty

• Yves Saint Laurent Beauté has teamed with non-profit organisation Re:wild on a sustainability program aimed at protecting biodiversity. In a bid to reduce their environmental footprint, YSL Beauté is transitioning to carbon-neutral factories across France this year, and by 2023, the brand pledges for 70 per cent of their formulas to be made up of bio-based ingredients. 
  
• DECIEM (AKA the company who owns cult beauty brand The Ordinary),, is planning to close several of its smaller brands, including Hylamide, HIF, and Abnomaly. Some of the products will remain on sale until sold out. Fortunately, The Ordinary will continue to operate, as will Niod, the company’s high-end skin care line. 

• Together with 100 V.I.P beautyheaven members, we revealed the winners of the 2022 Glosscar Awards. beautyheaven’s Glosscar Awards determine the best new beauty launches from the previous year. The categories include makeup, hair, skin care, health and body, among others. This year’s winners included CeraVe’s Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser, Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer and the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Volumising Watermelon Shampoo.
