As time goes on, we’re learning to fight the urge to buy into every single TikTok fad. Sometimes, however, we come across a viral hack that will change our lives forever. Or, at the very least, solve a basic first world problem like making sure water doesn’t stream down your arm when you wash your face.
After one too many fake tan disasters and soaking wet pyjama sleeves, TikTok users are employing microfibre wristbands to prevent the unavoidable leakage that comes with cleansing your face.
And as the thought process goes when introduced to any life hack: how did we not think of this before?!
According to TikTok personality @jacimariesmith these wrist towels are “the most genius invention in the world,” along with electricity, the internet, all medical advances and aeroplanes, of course.
So where can we purchase a set of these absorbent towel wristbands? You probably already knew the answer to that: Amazon of course. But be quick, they are selling out fast.
A set of four pairs will cost you $35, meaning each band is just over $4. Not bad considering you can throw them in the wash and reuse them as you wish.
As it goes with Amazon there are plenty of variations to choose from, but check out the ones we’re eyeing here.

Do you have any tips for stopping water from running down your arm while you cleanse? If so, please share them with us in the comments!
I don’t have any tips as this doesn’t seem to happen to me. Or maybe this is a tip actually?! I keep my head right above basin standing bent over like I’m rinsing my skin whilst I’m cleansing with my elbows out to each side. Never thought of it as a tip it’s just what I’ve always done. I don’t stand up straight and look in the mirror to cleanse therefore the water doesn’t run down my arms. Hope that makes sense.
Ooh, I love this idea!
I used to have this problem and it usually happens if you try to wet your face too thoroughly before applying cleanser and water trickles down your arms in the meantime. I don’t do that anymore and don’t have this issue. I just mix cleanser with a bit of water before application or straight up put the cleanser on my face before washing, although I tend not to prefer the latter since it can dry out my skin if I leave it on for too long. I really just don’t see a need for this product otherwise. I seem to see a version of these wristbands used when people workout to wipe their forehead sweat.
Exactly, Ethelinde – sweat bands would do the same thing!
Cool idea but I probably wouldn’t use
It’s not something I need, but it is a good idea for those who do.
This is’nt a problem I’ve encountered before, I just use my hands and never had water go down my arms.
That’s a good idea! I hate it when water goes up my arm
Great idea, but $35!! You could use scrunchies that you already have and save the $
I don’t use fake tan so luckily I have never needed this.
Doing it in the shower, no need for any wrist bands.
good idea -so easy
I have no need for this product and I go out of my not to buy from Amazon.
I find postage from Amazon negates the good prices
I avoid Amazon too, Chrystalage!
I have never had this problem as I usually roll my sleeves up and have currently been using a micro cloth for cleansing which is more absorbent
Interesting.
This happens to me all of the time! Water everywhere.
I’m just going to use a couple of thick scrunchies.
I don’t think it is a big problem, only a little bit of water…
I don’t support amazon. or tik tok. Have no need for extra stuff in my life (what a hypocrite, just ordered another pair of insanely great shoes!), though i do wash face in the shower, so no need for arm scrunchies.
Occasionally I might have a trickle of water but it’s not such a problem that I have to purchase wrist towels.
I lean right down and cleanse and rinse, so rarely get excess water
I’ve only experienced this a few times. I won’t be buying these, though – I make sure to push up my sleeves first.
Certainly a handy idea, though I have to say I just use a towel to wipe my arms dry.
Great idea regarding the Arm Bands, yes I hate having the Water go down your Arms. This is genius 🤗
I couldn’t be bothered with a wristband I just wipe my arms with a towel if I need to.
Haha thats a cool tool. I definitely see myself using this. I sometimes do get water running down my arms
Oh lol. I’ll just use towels and save the environment a bit more. Next year these will be landfill
I haven’t seen microfibre wristbands before. Anyway, I don’t have an issue with water trickling down my arms when cleansing.
Such a simple but effective idea
Some good tips here from other bh members
This is an interesting idea. I never thought about stopping water running down my arms while cleansing.
On the list of unnecessary things, this has to be high on it.
What will TikTok think of next???
I’ve commented on this article before
cool idea
I’ve been thinking about this since I first read the story, and while wet sleeves are annoying, I don’t know that I’d buy a special product to address them.
Good idea.
I think scrunchies would work just as well – and would probably be cheaper.
