Celebrities with acne: They may have access to the best spot treatments money can buy, but the reality is that even the rich and famous suffer from serious skin woes.
And while bh isn’t interested in ‘calling out’ these struggling celebs, we think it’s pretty powerful (not to mention reassuring for us mere mortals) when they open up about their experiences with less-than-perfect skin.
“My skin is acne-prone, so it’s a moving target,” Rosie Huntington-Whiteley revealed in an interview with Net-A-Porter. To keep her breakouts under control, she relies on LED therapy, and will often “sneak off to the bedroom to lie under the red and blue lights to tackle acne and heal any scars”. The mum-of-one (and currently pregnant with her second) beauty founder also credited “ice cubes wrapped in gauze” as a good way to “reduce puffiness and acne,” as well as Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion ($24, MECCA) as an effective spot treatment.

Can you relate to any of these celebrities? What’s your biggest skin care woe?
I’m 35 and still get hormonal breakouts on my jaw, not bad but at 35 I thought I would have been well past it. It’s ok though there’s worse things in life and great skincare, treatments and fresh ideas always help. 💗🌸💫
I used to struggle from really bad acne in my 20s. But like Miley said I got the Professionals involved. Dermatologist + Medication = Good Skin.
Now I suffer from dehydration because of my meds. Drink lots of water & use lots of moisturisers & masks but still need some more assistance.
I’ve seen how persistent acne is with my daughter. She is always trying new products and routines to reduce her breakouts. It can look quite promising for a time, and then back to square one.
Acne is something that you should not be ashamed about, and I am excited to see it become more normalized in the news and amongst people we see as ‘perfect’! You are all BEAUTIFUL!
Oh i can totally relate, before graduating from high school, my acne got really bad started coming out on my back.. so horrible. But I took accutane and it was a blessing. I get the odd period pimples or stress pimples or wrong skin care use that irritates my skin
DermalMD Acne Serum helps clear up the more cystic and large acne on my face! I have had issues since stopping my birth control about a year ago with adult acne (I’m 25!). This keeps it in check. I’ve noticed I’m still getting tiny pimples and clogged pores but this really has helped.
Very relatable article
I guess pimples don't discriminate!
No they don’t!
Sometimes I still get a couple now and then and I’m not in my teen or 20s!
I hate pimples and acne. It really impacts on confidence.
Acne is the worst, especially adult acne. It has been incredibly difficult to treat and has caused me so much stress

I found my diet helped alot. Changing it and dairy milk does make me break out.
Mine were bad. After diet change they left me!
I like the sound of led treatment although I don’t have this problem but have a very dry sensitive skin
I never had acne or pimples as a teen but when I hit my late 20’s I started to suffer from frequent breakouts & still suffer from them now at 43.
Only the very lucky don’t suffer from acne at some point.

I get the odd blind pimple.
I still get pimples at 55! I’m glad it’s not the cystic kind. I’ve always got Clearasil on hand.
Thankfully now there are so many products targeting acne.
