4 fabulous reasons to #treatyoself

Are you in the market for a new beauty must-have? Well, you’ve landed on the right page. Our Expert Trial Team has got you covered, with a nourishing chia seed oil, zingy ginger hand wash, multi-use hair primer and a magical mascara all tried and tested (so you can snap them up knowing exactly the joys you’re in for). Read on to see if any of these catch your attention…

Goodness Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil

bh’s Astrid says…

I don’t usually use oils on my face, but my forehead is always super dry, so I decided to mostly test the Goodness Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil on that area. I found it gave my forehead a less flaky, more supple texture. I swear I could almost see it soaking up the oil in front of my very eyes! Chia is full of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which is great for hydrating skin. I also used this on really dry areas of my body, like my elbows and ankles, and noticed a huge difference in the way my skin felt. No more roughness here! Winter is the absolute worst for me, so it’s really nice to have something I can keep in my handbag for touch-ups throughout the day. Now, I just pat two drops onto any dry spots to instantly revive my suffering skin!

Pureology Colour Fanatic

bh’s Di says…

For someone who works in beauty, I don’t use a lot of products. If it’s not quick and easy, I tend to avoid it. When it comes to my hair, I pretty much use three things: shampoo, conditioner and a brush, but I’m now going to increase that number to four.  I’m adding Pureology Colour Fanatic to my hair routine because a) it is quick and easy to use, and b) it really works on my hair.

I regularly colour my hair, and because it’s red, it fades quickly in between salon visits. I’ve been spraying this primer to my damp hair after washing and it has helped to maintain my colour and make my slightly wavy, slightly frizzy hair more manageable.  It also seems to leave my hair looking shinier. I’m sold!

Natures Organics Limited Edition Orange & Ginger Antibacterial Hand Wash

bh’s Carli says…

It’s not often I give a product a full five stars, but the Natures Organics Limited Edition Orange & Ginger Antibacterial Hand Wash truly deserves it. First of all, the gingery scent is like heaven (I’m a ginger fiend), so if you’re the same, you will love it. The addition of orange gives it a fresh, zesty twist. So it basically gets a thumbs up from me in the fragrance department.

As a soap, it worked wonderfully and I found it became sudsy quite quickly and rinsed off well, but what I really enjoyed is that after towel-drying, the skin on my hands didn’t feel dry (which they have been feeling A LOT this winter) or like they were in desperate need of moisture. They actually felt quite soft while smelling delightful. This one is an absolute winner for me.

Maybelline New York Full ‘N Soft Mascara

bh’s Rosie says…

I’m all about keeping my lashes soft and natural, even when I’m wearing mascara. That’s why the Maybelline New York Full ‘N Soft Mascara has been my Holy Grail mascara since I started wearing make-up. It features a plump bristled brush, which coats each and every one of my lashes and gives them a much-needed boost of volume. What I love most about this mascara is that it adds definition, colour, and volume, but still manages to make my lashes look soft. The formula doesn’t clump, flake or make my lashes feel stiff at all, making it the perfect everyday mascara.
