Cannes Film Festival: Natasha Poly’s brilliant bold orange lip

Oh my. My heart just skipped a few beats, beauties. This usually happens when I spot a cute man, but the make-up Natasha Poly wore to the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event – part of the 2012 Annual Cannes Film Festival – is just too fine to ignore.

I realise this kind of means I’m cheating on Barbara Palvin (whose Cannes coral lip and creative use of eye liner utterly floored me two days ago…), but I’m OK with that. Outstanding make-up looks deserve to be acknowledged and this one deserves a medal, and a big, heavy gold one at that.

Now, Natasha Poly’s slightly wavy, textured strands have a LOT to do with just how awesome she looks, but I’m choosing to focus on the make-up. I’m in love with the bold pop of deep orange on her lips and the fact that the hue that has a slightly shiny finish. I adore the bronze eye shadow on her lids and the precise flick of her black liner that not only balances out the bold lip, but frames her gorgeous brown peepers, too. I also can’t stop staring at her fresh, luminous skin, and the subtle use of bronzer that’s given her a healthy sun-kissed finish. It really is an incredible look; one that I’m 125.94 per cent sure I’m going to copy on the weekend.

But how did she end up looking so beautiful? She armed herself with these products, that’s how.

ON THE SKIN:L’Oréal Paris Lumi Magique Foundation in N4 Beige

ON THE CHEEKS:L’Oréal Paris Glam Bronze La Terra

ON THE LIPS:L’Oréal Paris Color Riche in Neonic Orange

ON THE EYES:L’Oréal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza, L’Oréal Paris Color Infallible Eye Shadow in 16 Coconut Shake and 12 Endless Chocolat and L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes in Extrablack

I’m certain a few of you have already pencilled down the name of that lippie and are already racing to the stores to purchase it, but if you don’t have much cash to splash, it’s highly likely you’ll have similar products already in your kit, and if a burnt orange lippie isn’t your thing, a softer coral or berry will work beautifully instead.

What do you think of the make-up Natasha Poly wore to the 2012 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival? Is it something you’re keen to recreate?
