Colour Restore Iced Platinum

I received this from the mental rewards vault recently. I had read reviews which were a bit mixed to be honest, but thought I’d give it a try as my hair is bleached and has some brassy areas I wanted to get rid of. This came in a small tube and a box, with quite cool colours of blue/grey/white or icy tone’s which suited the name. I wanted to use as a colour semi to revamp my colour so applied to towel dried hair and left in for the advised 20 minutes then rinsed well. The colour before applying is a light blue/violet tending more to blue. The final colour on my hair was really nice, it did a pretty good job of toning although didn’t remove all of the brass. I really liked the end result however and am now using it as a top up eg as a conditioner when I wash my hair but leaving it in for 2 mins then rinsing. I like this and will be looking to purchase

I purchased this on sale at Woolworths and thought I'd give it a go. Having salt and pepper grey hair that tinges yellow in the white from hairdryer and straightening iron (even when using heat protect products) Washed with clarifying shampoo, towel dried and worked it through the mainly yellow areas. I left it on for 30 minutes then rinsed. Must say am pleased with the toning of the yellow (barely noticeable) and use it as a conditioner to maintain clear white look. I recommend this product - noticed not in Woolies anymore but snaffled another 2 boxes at Priceline

I bought this yesterday at the Priceline outlet near my house for a steal. I've been eyeing off this products at Coles and when I saw this for only $4, I decided to give it a go. My blonde highlights were really quite brassy so I washed my hair, applied it to towel dried hair, wrapped it up in a plastic bag and towel for 20 minutes and when I rinsed it out, while my hair felt quite soft, I knew instantly that it had done nothing to tone my hair. My hair is literally the same colour as before, with no toning effect at all. It did leave my hair quite smooth and conditioned (you don't have to condition afterwards), but I already have products for that and was really hoping this would tone. The tube itself is quite small but the product goes a long way so even though my hair is below bra strap length, I will get about 5-6 uses out of it. Such a shame it had no toning effect. I will use it up anyway and thinking about buying some purple semi-permanent to mix into it so at least I will finish it off rather than waste it.

Having battled for years with the yellow/gold in my hair I was very excited to receive my Scott Cornwall colour restore iced platinum. I had tried everything rinses, masked, shampoos etc but nothing gave me that clean platinum look I so longed for. I must say I was excited and also a bit jaded but I had nothing to lose so I followed the easy instructions and left the product on for the suggested 20minutes and like magic my hair was transformed from a brassy colour too a clean white platinum.. The product not only worked but smelt great and left my hair super shiny, in short.....I had struck gold

I have platinum blonde hair and use a lot of toning products and can gauge pretty soon if a toning product has some power, but unfortunately in this case, it did absolutely nothing for my hair. I applied the product when my hair was looking pretty brassy and i left it on for the full 20minutes. I made sure to saturate my whole head and at the time i liked the smell, colour and application. However once i washed it out and blow dyed my hair, the brassy areas were still just as brassy and the whiter areas were now purple. My hair did feel very silky afterwards so it was very conditioning, but for the price i paid and the size of the tube i was disappointed with the results.
