Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink™ Lipstick

I love the Revlon colorstay lipsticks because they definitely live up to their name and stay on your lips. The colour stay feature may mean it’s a bit drying when you’ve had it on all day, but a bit of lip gloss to make it less matte and more moisturizing and it works. It might mean it won’t stay as long on your lips, but I think it’s worth it. The colours are really nice. I went for a neutral tone, but the reds look great too. They are a good compact size so doesn’t take up much space in your makeup bag.

The Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick is a very matte lipstick. I found the lipstick to be very pigmented but the lipstick also dried out my lips a lot. Needed to put on lipbalm before I put on the lipstick. The lipstick was incredibly pigmented and Revlon products are always high quality. The lipstick doesn't transfer, which is good as it doesn't leave red marks on glasses and doesn't rub off when you take a drink. I liked the lipstick but again, it was very drying, and as I already have very dry lips, I wouldn't wear it for everyday life. Aside from that, I really liked it and would recommend it to anyone who's thinking about getting it. The colour was very bold, striking, and pigmented.

The Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick is a matte lipstick. I tried the shade Bread Winner. It is a red colour which isn't a shade I would usually choose. It would be nice for Christmas though so that's when I'll use it again. I chose to wear this when I was at home because it's not a colour I suit or can wear everyday because it's too bold for me. 1 swipe across the lips is all you need for an even coat and that 1 coat gives an intense colour pay off. It immediately dries and there is no wet or stickiness. I would recommend using a lip balm for some time before applying this lipstick as I found the matte finish enhanced the dryness of my lips and showed the cracks more and my lips felt uncomfortable. Even after removing the lipstick with micellar water the lipstick stayed in the cracks of my lips. After applying the lipstick I kissed the back on my hand to see if it would transfer and it didn't. There was no trace of lipstick whatsoever. It was only when I rubbed my finger across my lips that I had 1 tiny little flake of red lipstick on my finger which is quite amazing. I like that I don't have to worry about it moving around and smudging when I'm drinking or eating. It doesn't go on my teeth. And I don't have to re-apply it. It's really long lasting however I do find it to be too matte and drying.

I tried the shade 016 Bread Winner, which turned out to be a carmine red shade, exactly the red shade on the bottom surface of the square matte plastic tube this lipstick is housed in. This is not normally a shade I go for but I would gladly recommend this to any red-lip lovers. The formulation of this lipstick is very impressive. Although the finish is matte, it does not leave my lips feeling dry, rather it does not even feel like I am wearing anything at all. It takes a bit of force for there to be transfer but otherwise it does not budge from my lips easily and the long-stay was fairly decent before it started to fade a little. I otherwise had difficulty applying this lipstick exactly along the contours of my lips and would recommend lip liner and/or a lip brush for better application.
