The Remington Coconut smooth straighetner is fantastic , Light and easy to use and comes with a cute little bag to protect it . Would be the perfect straightener for travelling as it's quite light . Heats up amazingly fast and has a swivel cord to move easier as your straightening your hair , The different temp settings are perfect for my fine hair as straighteners can burn my hair easily . You can have straight hair almost instantly it heats so quick and saves time , I would recommend to anyone with fine hair as it leaves frizz free !

This straightener is very light and easy to use for straightening and styling hair. It comes with a little silk slip draw string bag so great for traveling. It heats up quickly and isn't overly hot as it offers numerous temperature settings. The thin long plates make it easy to handle and best probably for thinner, short to medium length hair. You only need to run it through a section of your hair and it straightens that section out first time, no repeats required. Therefore reducing the potential of hair breakage. It really does straighten frizz and hair that may be misbehaving. It hair looks shiny afterwards and remains straight for the entire day. I love the pink matte colour and that it is easy to grip, it won't slip out of your hands are all. It cools down quickly too. A great straightener for me!

I don't know why but a hair straightener has always been one of those things where I thought the more money you spend on a hair straightener the better it'll straighten your hair. I was wrong! Big time! I've always bought the big brand names and been fairly satisfied with the results. I've never tried an affordable straightener before and now I'm kicking myself thinking back to how much money I've wasted because the Remington Coconut Smooth Straightener has been very impressive. And I still am shocked at just how amazing it straights my annoying hair type (thick and frizzy). From the first pass of the hair straightener through my hair to the last pass the entire time my mind was blown. First things first I've never held a hair straightener that's so lightweight. It feels the same weight as my hair brush. It takes about 15 seconds to heat up to it's pre-set temperature of 190 degrees and then for my hair I like it to be on 230 so I just press the up button and that takes a further 10ish seconds to reach that temperature. So quite fast to heat up. It has a swivel cord and it also has a lock to lock the plates closed for storage. Plus, it comes with a little silky slip draw string bag to store it in. This would make the most perfect travel hair straightener. I still can't get over how light it is. You wont believe me unless you hold it for yourself. I also like that it has a matte texture which for me makes it easy to hold and my hand really grips to the material so there is no change of it slipping out of my hand. I love that it's very slim because I have thick frizzy hair so getting really close to the roots is a must for me. I found that I needed 1 pass through my hair to straighten it but then I did a further pass through my hair to perfect it and get it silky. It took me about 10 minutes maybe 12 from start to finish and I have quite a lot of hair. Results wise my hair was super sleek, frizz free, straight and very very shiny. And the results lasted. I didn't need to go over my hair at all.

The positive of this straightener was that it was great that it didn't take long to heat up. But as I have thick hair the thinner width plates didn't really suit my hair. It took a lot longer than I'd like to spend on my hair compared to my old straightener. Features including temperature change are easy to use. If you want a very basic straightener and have short thin hair then this is good and also would be good for touch ups to keep hair smooth and straight. Also good for travel as its light and has its own pouch.
