I won this curling tong from beautyheaven's 12 Days Countdown Giveaway. Prior to using this I watched a few videos on how to use a curling tong this size and it seemed quite easy but for some unknown reason it just doesn't work. I don't find the clamp holds my hair in the curler it just kept sliding out. I think it needs to have a more firmer hold. I tried not to leave my hair in the curler for too long because I didn't want to cause any breakage to my hair but even when I left my hair around the the curler for even 20 seconds it didn't curl my hair and I had set the curler to the highest temperature which is 210 degrees. I have long hair which is thick and frizzy but I had straightened my hair the day before using this so that I had nice smooth hair to work with. I also think the barrel is way too thick/wide and found it hard to use. What I did like was that it has a swivel cord and a little stand that flips in and out so that you don't burn your counter/bench when you need to put the curler down to section your hair. Plus it comes with a little silky draw string sleeve to store it in which is nice. So it would be easy to take travelling. I will keep trying to use this but as I have already given it a few attempts I just don't think this is suited to me.
