QV Intensive Cream is a moisturiser that is suitable for extremely dry skin. The highly concentrated, triple moisturising formula moisturises dry skin for up to 24 hours and is suitable for use with eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. It contains 10 per cent glycerin and is free of preservative, fragrance, lanolin, propylene glycol and colour.

My skin has been itchy a lot recently and probably due to winter and the drying air conditioning but also just maybe stress and I've that having a Telfast has helped with some of this itchiness but I also needed a topical product to soothe and hydrate and so I reached for this QV Intensive Cream. Five stars for being soothing as I rub it in and within minutes my itchy arms feel like a different pair of arms - soothed and moisturising and non-itchy. Definitely giving credit to Telfast but this cream 'topped' it off by being so soothing and more. I would buy this again for this kind of issue. There is absolutely no scent and it's easy to rub into the sensitised itch-prone skin. I also love the way it has a long lasting effect too. I've got the 100g tube and that makes it convenient also to take around with me if I need to but I generally apply this at home. Made in Australia, no propyleneglycol, preservative free. Non comedogenic!! No lanolin.

Tips

I use this on my body but it says it can also be used for the face and it has no lanolin or comedogenics in it so I expect it would be ok if you needed to apply it there too

QV Intensive Body Cream

As a family, we really trust QV products. We also have very dry skin. During winter and the colder months of the year, I need lots and lots of extra moisture to keep me from itching and being uncomfortable in my own skin. This intensive cream is the answer to those super windy and cold days and nights when the weather just wants your skin to suffer. This is very moisturising, nourishing and protects the skin from flaking, being itchy and uncomfortable. I’ve also used this on my toddler and it has worked well. I highly rate this product.

My holy grail moisturiser

So in the very dry months, my skin becomes a nightmare and has many dry patches and scaly bits where skin can just come off very easily due to dehydration. However, this moisturiser saves me, and it brings back moisture to my skin, leaving it soft and moisturised and not dry and scaly. It's super affordable, doesn't smell too strong and it's easily absorbed. I don't flare up at all, which is a miracle as I have sensitive skin.

Simple and gentle.

The QV Intensive range is a Godsend when my supplies of U.S sourced CeraVe have depleted. As an eczema sufferer, this cream has provided me with much relief at night and low humidity. The glycerine is a fabulous humectant while the paraffin is richly occlusive. I find it perfect to use post wet wrap therapy as it works wonders for my arms, legs and back. The lack of fragrance and other harsh ingredients means my skin doesn't angrily react. However, I will say I find the cream more suited to either colder months or days with low humidity as the texture of the cream is on the heavier side and greasy due the included paraffin. The price point is just right with the pump pack offering really good value for money. I can't wait to try QV Intensive with added ceramides as that moisturiser might be on par with CeraVe.

Tips

Keep on edge of shower or bath and apply directly on wet skin to minimise transepidermal water loss. Try to keep your skin's contact with water to a minimum. If indoors, use a cool mist humidifier combined with wet wrap therapy and QV Intensive.

It really works!

I recently moved house, and did lots of packing and cleaning. My hands dried out and ended up cracking. They were really sore. I applied this product at night and placed cotton gloves on, the next day my hands were noticeably less dry. I did the same thing the next night and I haven’t looked back. This product is as intensive as it says it is, but is gentle at the same time. My 7 month old son has very dry and sensitive skin, and it is gentle enough to use on him. I am very impressed.

Tips

Apply at night time before bed to avoid washing it off. Use cotton gloves to avoid getting the cream everywhere as it is quite thick.

Ideal for

Extremely dry skin. Babies. Sensitive skin. Everyone!!
