Certified Organic BB Cream

The Lamav BB Cream was a purchase from my BeautyHeaven rewards. I have used this previously and knew just how good it was and how satisfied I was with the results it showed. This has a natural sunscreen (a big tick there!) No nasties in this and as only a small amount is needed for coverage is good value. Apply a small amount to cleansed skin with a brush, sponge or as I do, gently apply with clean fingertips. The Lamav container is white with large BB on the front, and contains 50ml. I have a medium complexion and the medium cream is a perfect match blending smoothly and giving a natural glow.

Beautiful BB cream which makes my skin look better but without masking the natural skin - I use this in lieu of my daily foundation and feel perfectly made-up for work (I do like a natural effect). It minimises pores and helps even out my skin tone melting right into the skin with its beautiful ingredients like aloe (which is #1), oils like almond, avocado and jojoba. It leaves my skin moist without going greasy like some foundations (and definitely powders) do on my older (59) skin. It also contains a very natural sun protection and helps any irritations or blemishes heal rather than exacerbating them. The simple white packaging is slim and fits nicely into a makeup case, and I prefer this to foundation as it's gentler on my skin. There's no scent and the pump is exactly the amount I need for my face, which I then use a brush to buff in. La Mav is an ethical, cruelty-free Australian company whose products really work and who uses ingredients I don't mind my skin absorbing.

I had high hopes for this bb cream after reading many great reviews all over the internet but sadly it wasn't for me. I found it very hard to blend and quite drying on my skin. Neither shade was right for my skin tone but the coverage wasn't too bad. Unfortunately I won't be repurchasing this one.

I have been looking at natural foundations/BB creams to swap out for my usual ones just to give my skin a bit of a break. I tried this on in-store and it seemed ok on the back of my hand but I find that this is quite difficult to spread on the face and can end up looking a little cakey rather than smooth. It has a matte finish. The colour is slightly too beige for me (I have yellow-olive toned skin) but I have been mixing it in with my moisturiser and adding some TO foundation in to mix the right colour and consistency. I wish this product worked for me though. Still on the hunt for a good natural option!

I have had difficulty finding the right BB Creme and I have found it in this LaMav one. Totally Organic, free from nasties and Australian I am totally satisfied. I ordered this from the last Beautorium without any prior use of this brand. It is contained in a generous 50ml pump bottle, blends so well and is in a shade to suit your skin tone. It lasts so well if put on even early in the day, smoothed and blended over your moisturiser. It also contains anti aging minerals so is definitely very beneficial for mature skins.
