Violet Crush Intense Purple Shampoo for Blondes

Don't get me wrong this purple shampoo is very pigmented and lifts the blonde greatly in my hair but I do think there are other better purple shampoo's out there then this one. Yes, it gets the job done but I feel like it has been damaging my hair since I've been using it. My hair all of sudden started to get dry and the ends of my hair were starting to split. It has a very strong smell to the shampoo I feel like you can smell the chemicals in the bottle very strongly. Like I said it lifts the hair great but I dont think Its worth it when your hair starts dying because of the chemicals im putting into it. I don't think this product is worth having when there are tons of other great purple shampoo's out there that don't demage your hair like this one!

I have to start by admitting I don't have blond hair, just blonde highlights. But, my highlights were looking brassy and orange and my hairdresser suggested a 'purple' shampoo. John Frieda to the rescue. Using this product has actually helped a great deal and I no longer have orange-y highlights, they are a warm blonde. I use this about twice a week, wash once, rinse then apply a second round, but leave that on for one to two minutes before washing out and conditioning. It works! Be sure to wipe any off your tiles, it is bright purpled and can leave purple marks.

Violet Crush is a very good name for this as it does crush any yellowness in my hair and the effects last for days - I only find I need to use this once a week at the most. It could be the most purple shampoo I've ever used actually and I can highly recommend this if you suffer from brassiness or off-coloured blonde. I have natural blonde hair which is various shades of blonde all by itself. I find this is great for me but could be amazing for bleached blondes too I expect. This definitely punches out the brass as it promises. It can be left in the hair for a couple of minutes to intensify it's effects but I personally don't feel to do this as this formula is strong. It is great to use with your regular matching conditioner but also now they make this with it's own matching conditioner!

I purchased the John Frieda Violet Crush for blondes intense purple shampoo from the Rewards Room as this is one product that I do use for my fine blonde hair which I colour at home to cover the grey that is now coming through my otherwise natural blonde hair. The purple shampoo does help eliminate the brassiness that sometimes occurs when doing home colouring for blonde hair. The shampoo comes out purple in a fine stream and easy to squeeze from the plastic tube so there is not too much wastage if you are careful. My hair is quite long and I need to apply a bit more to ensure all areas are lathered. The shampoo does lather very well and it is necessary to rinse very carefully to ensure it is all washed out before applying conditioner.

I’ve used a couple of different purple shampoos & didn’t find that they did anything special & all cost a little more. However with this shampoo I found that it was easy to use & lathered quite well, so I didn’t have to use a large amount each time. It also brought out my blonde highlights & they didn’t look as dull as normal. Especially in sunlight the colour of my highlights look amazing
