Anti Ageing Eye Cream

This is an eye cream that contains AHA in the form of 4% glycolic acid, niacinamide (Vit B3), Panthenol (Vit B5), Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Vit C derivative), Vitamin E as well as soothing oat kernel extract. It comes in a 15ml squeeze tube with a pointed tip. The texture is very light and spreadable and has no fragrance (great for an eye product), and doesn't irritate or sting my eyes at all. Even though glycolic acid it one of the stronger AHAs, I experienced no irritation from it, and it left my skin well-hydrated. Despite the glycolic acid being and exfoliant, I think this product has struck the right balance in that I have zero irritation or peeling, but have felt the increased hydration. It's also great to have all the other vitamins working together to brighten, strengthen, and provide anti-oxidant support. The oat kernel extract will also sooth and strengthen the skin barrier. Whilst I can't see any immediate results in terms of reduction of fine lines after a couple of weeks, I am happy to keep using this to slow down the formation of any new lines from forming.

I don't buy magazines frequently but I purchased the Elle magazine (circa 2019) as it had a free full size 15g squeezy tube of Elucent Anti-Ageing Eye Cream. It came boxed with a leaflet about the Elucent Anti-Ageing range. It dispenses out of a thin screw top nozzle. The box states "with 4% AHA’s Vitamins B3, C & E". The AHA or Glycolic Acid is the fourth ingredient on the list. AHA's work in three stages, exfoliation, boosting collagen or elastin growth and hydration. The cream itself is a milky white which I would only apply under one eye (it helps me compare to other brands). Only the tiniest amount is needed. One tube lasted me about four months (using on one eye area). It absorbs well with no stinging or irritation. It's a nice gentle unfragranced eye cream but it's not a holy grail item. I think where it failed with me was in the hydration. My under eye area didn't seem as hydrated as with other products. Made in Australia by Ego Pharmaceuticals. Not tested on animals.

I was fortunate enough to have this product in the mixed bag of products sold at Chemist Warehouse. I find it hydrated around my eye area as well as reduce appearance of lines , I don’t have any redness or burning from the cream. It goes well under foundation.

I received the Elucent Eye Cream as part of a goodie bag from a chemist. I would have been unlikely to buy it myself as it is in the luxe price range and also has 4% AHA. As a sensitive skin and eye girl I avoid AHA due to irritation issues in the past. But drum roll please.... I have been converted by this product. The instructions state to start slowly graduating use up to daily. I use this about twice a week under either rosehip, Shea butter or coconut oil to dilute the product a little. With full strength, the cream did cause some irritation around my eyes. But even after limited use I have started to see results in a reduction in fine lines around my eyes, so result! I got this from a BH event and have been using it for around 4 weeks now. This eye cream has made a slight difference to the skin under my skin and also on the side. The skin around my eyes feels a lot more smoother. It definitely looks a lot more clearer and fresh everytime I woke up. What I love about this is the that the cream doesn't get wasted quickly. A small amount goes a long way.
