+ Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation

I bought this foundation on a whim, lowkey assuming I was gonna add it to my pile of other foundations that I sometimes mix together like some kind of weird makeup soup to get my preferred shade/coverage. WELL touché, Covergirl, because this stuff goes crazy. The shade match was spot on, it applies like a lightweight creme but covers like a heavy coverage cosmetic. I spent twice as much on an eyelid primer/concealer and this ACTUALLY DID A BETTER JOB. I'm simultaneously pleased and highly upset about it. It's also withstood both of my dogs trying to lick/sniff my face since apparently it smells delicious to them, so it must be pretty heavy duty as far as being wearable throughout the day. Five stars from me and two paws up from the dogs.

I don’t normally use foundations that provide a full coverage, but I found that the Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation in Cream Natural provides a good coverage that helps my skin look fresh and dewy all day long. I use it daily and apply it with a foundation brush, which I think gives the best coverage and ensures that the cover is not too thick. What I really love about Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation is that it doesn’t crease or get cakey or just disappear from my skin, no matter how long I wear it. Overall, the coverage is very good, and it looks very natural on. The Vitamin C and Hyaluronic make it feel very moisturising, and I notice my skin doesn’t feel dry after using it. This is a good foundation particularly for ladies with dryer or combination skin. Love it.

I liked the idea of a foundation with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid, so thought I'd try this. Also really liked the idea of a collaboration between Covergirl and Olay. It was an 'okay' foundation and it did the trick in providing all day long coverage but I did not like the consistency of the formula. It is quite thick, and I ended up mixing mine with some thinner moisturiser to make it easier to apply. I also found that after application, I had to let it 'set', run off and do something else while it absorbed into my skin. That added an extra five minutes (which I don't have) to my morning routine. Nowhere on the label or on their website can I find anything about a SPF for this product. I use a SPF moisturiser anyway, and wore this product mainly during winter so perhaps I was okay. It was good, but there were alot of boxes it just did not 'tick' for me, so I would probably not purchase it again.

I received this foundation from BEAUTY/crew. This foundation is thick. A lot thicker than I expected but that's probably because the first ingredient is a silicone which gives the foundation that rich thick feeling and it takes some time to blend it because it is so thick. It does have good coverage and I would say it's medium to full coverage and it covers pimple scars well. I found this foundation to be quite moisturising and has a matte finish. Which I prefer over a dewy finish. I didn't experience any breakouts from the Vitamin C in the formula. The main drawback for me was the scent. I would rather it be fragrance free. It smells like a fabric softener. If you have sensitive skin this may not be for you. Even though I don't have sensitive skin, my skin is combination, the scent is the reason I won't personally be purchasing this foundation again. The wear on this foundation was quite good. After a few hours it hasn't faded or oxidised and still looked fresh. I didn't notice that the foundation instantly reduce the appearance of any wrinkles like it says on the bottle so don't buy this and think it's going to. The added Hyaluronic Complex and Vitamin C basically just provided a bit of radiance and hydration along with the foundation. I would recommend using a good primer before you apply the foundation to help blur pores and fill lines and always set your foundation with a powder.

Nothing special - basic drugstore foundation that's fair for the price. The formula and shade range leave much to be desired. I purchased this since it was meant for mature skin. I'm 27 but I have some fine lines around the forehead and mouth that I feel could use a foundation meant for textured skin - we all could use some help can't we? I honestly didn't see a difference between this and the rest of my drugstore foundations in terms of how it sat on my fine lines. I have used L'oreal True Match for years which isn't marketed toward any specific age group and find this just as comparable - it's no more better at not sinking into fine lines than any other basic drugstore line out there. And it definitely clung to every tiny bit of winter dryness on my cheeks.
