Watermelon Lip Balm

I have tried my fair share of Burt's Bees Lip Balms, but unfortunately this flavour didn't live up to the hype. The Watermelon Lip Balm just wasn't a favourite. The scent was quite strong and overwhelming, even before applying it onto the lips. I also thought the flavour was very artifical and fake - it definitely didn't smell like summer watermelons. In saying that, the product itself worked to hydrate and moisturise the lips. Containing coconut oil and beeswax, it applies smoothly to the lips.

I absolutely love burts bee’s lip balms! They feel so nice and moisturizing, without being clumpy or sticky like others. So obviously I loved the texture of this one too! The application is easy and mess free as well! It never leaks or spills, and is perfect for in your bag or pocket. I also love how this lip balm is natural and good for the environment and your lips. The only down-fall of this lip balm for me was a slightly off-putting undertone of the smell. It is nice at first but becomes a bit too sweet for me after a while. Overall, I loved this lip balm but would probably purchase some other burts bee’s flavours over this one in particular.

This is my first time trying a Burt's Bees lip balm, a popular well known brand. I will start off by mentioning about the flavour, watermelon, I will say it doesn't have strong watermelon flavour or scent to it but it is there, so if you aren't into strong scented balms this would be one for you, personally I would have liked it a little more scented. The texture of the balm is light, not as moisturising as some balms but does leave your lips feeling smooth and it seems to sink into the skin of your lips quite quickly, not sticky at all. The balm is in a classic lip balm tube, reminiscent of my childhood lip smacker days.

I love Burt's Bee products as they are natural and not over flavoured .This watermelon lip balm has enough flavour that you enjoy applying in on your lips but not too much that you feel like it is a food so a Win Win. It is so easy to apply and just glides on. My lips feel lovely and soft after use and it takes away all the dryness. I do find I need to apply quite often however that is not unexpected as I am the same with lipstick so I probably eat it off with out realizing.It is a nice little tube and easy to pop into a small pocket so you have it on hand when your lips are dry. This is a well priced product and lasts for ages so good value overall.
