Addict? Me? No, I can quit any time I like! I’m not very convincing am I, so I think I should just ‘fess up. I do love my girly things. Every Sunday when I was a little girl, my grandma would sit and ‘set’ her hair and pluck her brows. While she was doing that she always let me rummage through her make-up box. It was like an Aladdin’s cave of different scents, talcs, creams and textures. I’d spend my Sundays knee deep in it all, exploring what I could and couldn’t use. I felt like a princess. Old habits die hard, I guess!

Hmm, this is tough! There’s loads of advice out there for women on all things health and beauty but what’s ‘right’ and what’s ‘wrong’ seems to change with every month. So I think the best beauty tip is to take a risk! Hair grows back. Make-up can be washed off. It never hurts to experiment and find what suits you best. After all no one knows you better than you.

It would have to be Intimately Night For Her by David and Victoria Beckham. While I love to chop and change my style and make-up, somehow I’d ended up in a fragrance rut. After putting it on and swooning (with hubby doing the same!), it had me thinking about the last time I’d changed my fragrance – it’s been 12 years! I was totally shocked. Definitely time for a change! And this was perfect for it.

We all work really hard for our money and I know I don’t like to go and … hand over my hard earned cash without having feedback from real women, not spokespeople or adverts, telling me how great a product will be. That’s why I love beautyheaven’s reviews so much. Getting honest opinions on products so that we can make informed choices, and save ourselves a buck or two along the way, is invaluable.
