Gisele Bündchen goes makeup-free on the cover of Vogue Italia

by

Gisele Bündchen has graced many Vogue covers, but her most recent one for Vogue Italia is making history. It’s the first time Vogue Italia has ever featured a model makeup-free and without a stylist.

It’s not just Gisele’s bare face that makes these pictures so special, either. Everything about the shoot was stripped back to beautiful basics. Gisele styled herself (from Gucci garments to Looney Tunes slippers) and didn’t have her hair done by the pros. Plus, photographer Jamie Hawkesworth only used a film camera and natural lighting to capture the shots.

The dreamy, sun-soaked aesthetic created by the photographer was perfect for the content of the snaps. Gisele was pictured with her husband (NFL star Tom Brady) and kids as they played in the grass and lounged around their Massachusetts home on a sunday morning. It’s a glimpse into the private life of a very famous woman and her family – so a makeup-free Gisele only made it that more realistic and intimate.

Now, I know we’re not all models like Gisele Bündchen, but a bare-faced magazine cover is always a nice reminder for us all to embrace our natural beauty – whatever that may mean. If you’re Gisele, it’s ditching makeup for a mag cover. For us, it could also be going bare-faced or even just going one day with a light BB cream (beautyheaven loves Models Prefer BB Cream or BIODERMA Sensibio AR BB Cream) instead of our usual max coverage foundation. Whatever it is, remember you’re all natural beauties, beauties!
