If there’s one thing we know about Victoria Beckham, it’s that she’s a creature of habit. After all, we’re talking about the woman who has eaten the same meal every day for the last 25 years.
And while we’ve seen the odd beauty transformation here and her skin care routine being slightly tweaked there, Victoria runs a relatively consistent ship. One which includes never wavering on her self-imposed beauty rule: not letting anyone see her unless her brows are done (including her husband, David). At least that’s been the case until now.
For some of us, acne-prone skin has led us to keep our breakouts covered in concealer. For others, just the thought of leaving the house without touching up our grey roots is enough to send us into a panic.
In Victoria’s case, however? It’s leaving her brows bare. “It’s just my thing,” she said. “Too much plucking has really left me quite self-conscious about my brows to be completely honest.” Relatable.
During an Instagram makeup tutorial shared to her 30.8 million followers over the weekend, Victoria detailed her exact routine for creating full and fluffy arches.
“This is the first time I have ever let anyone see me without my brows on,” she confessed to camera.
“Even my own husband never sees me without my brows on.” That’s no small feat after 24 years of marriage.
“I want you to see how gappy my brows really are, so many missing hairs,” she said.
“I have nothing on these brows at the moment but you can see how much I have to fill them in and level them out” – although if you’re asking us, they looked pretty good.
What is Victoria Beckham’s brow routine?
It’s pretty simple really. After a lack of luck searching for a product to deliver precise application and last the entirety of the day, she created one herself. And a great one at that.
Using the ultra-fine eye pencil, the Victoria Beckham Beauty Baby-Blade ($54, Victoria Beckham Beauty), Victoria feathers on straight strokes to mimic the appearance of individual hairs.
After something a little more affordable? We love the Model’s Prefer Micro Brow Pencil ($16, currently $12.80 at Priceline). Bargain.
Although instead of commending the beauty founder for finally facing her fear and revealing her brows (sans product), the since switched-off comments section showed a slightly different reaction.
Instagram trolls were criticising Victoria for wearing a heavy face of makeup and in some cases, critiquing her for the cosmetic work she has had done. In true VB fashion, we’re sure she was able to laugh off the haters. Eye roll.

What do you do to your eyebrows? Do you religiously fill them in?
I use a brow pencil and feather my brows and sometimes use mascara but really Victoria looks fine so she is being over the top with her neurosis about herself.
Yes, I fill them in daily. It’s just second nature to me now!
I tint my brows every few weeks but I don’t fill them in.
I tint my brows once a month and love to sweep some brow mascara through them before leaving the house too.
Yes I have tinted mine in the past and was really happy with that.
If I dont tint mine you cannot see them. I must say though that I do have plenty of hair as I have never trimmed them at all.
Never used an eyebrow pencil.
My fringe covers my barely-there brows. I really should do something about them but it’s something I keep putting off.
I wonder which colour would suit me out of her range.
I don’t think her brows look bad at all without product in it!
no she has nice shaped brows-Bit over the top
I don’t find myself filling them in often, a great video and product.
No never. Mine are normal.
She does have good looking brows
Yes she has a lovely natural shape -Most people would be very happy with them.
I don’t do anything to my eye brows.
Thank goodness I never over plucked my eyebrows in the 90’s.
I use a brow gel and fill it in with a pomade
I never got into the habit of using brow products.
I love the Mirenesse new Universal brow one
not something I need luckily
I think that is sad that she is so self conscious about her appearance that she won’t ever be au naturel
I think that is sad that she is so self conscious about her appearance that she won’t ever be au naturel even with her husband
yes we all have things we don’t like about our self but part of being with someone is the inside not the outside
It’s a shame she’s so self conscious about her brows, although I guess we all have something.
I use brow pencil to fill my brows only in special occasion.I don’t do it everyday.
I love her routine
I don’t think Victoria has sparse eyebrows. Mine are worse. Yes I dye mine every month and I have been pencilling mine in for decades (since I was 15yo).
I love Victoria Beckham and what she does. She is a really talented person.
I overplucked inthe 90s, so I like to use brow gel to plump them up. I’ve got a fringe, so I’m not fussed if I skip it when I’m rushing to get ready.
Interesting i went through a phase like this, but got over it eventually. I always had to fill in my eyebrows
