Rimmel has been getting me party ready for years. Having used the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and Scandaleyes mascara for the past 6 months, I have quite a deep love of the range. So, it excites me to share with you a step-by-step guide on how to achieve a ‘sexy, seductress’ party look – just in time for the festive season.
Before I start however, I would just like to preface: I am not a make up artist, I just enjoy playing with make-up. So feel free to get the ‘seductress’ look with a few tweaks to my guide!
1: Sturdy foundations are key to building a home, and the same is true of your make-up look. Thus, I chose Rimmel London Wake Me up Foundation as my ace base to start my canvas. Not only does it help cover imperfections, but makes my skin look radiant as well. Apply with a sponge or foundation brush across your whole face and cleavage, ensuring you go over the eyelids. This will prime your lids to ensure your make up says put for the whole night.
2: Using the Rimmel London Kate Moss Union Jack Eyeshadow in Black Cab, apply the navy blue on your eyelids up to just above the eye crease.
3: Using a crease brush, tap black shadow (from the Kate Moss Union Jack Eyeshadow palette) in a V to the outer third of the lid, at a slight angle to enhance the cat’s eye look.
4: Take a blending brush and blend the blue and the black together, so the edges are less obtuse.
5: Taking the Rimmel Waterproof Gel Eyeliner pot, gently line your eyelid and sweep out at corners. This can be as dramatic, thick or thin, as you like. I personally love a good cat’s eye, so tend to go quite thin but long.
6: Dab a touch of Rimmel London Wake me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in the corner of your eyes to make them look brighter and bigger. Apply to the tops of your cheekbones for added colour if you are not going to use a bronzer.
7: After adequately curling your lashes, apply two coats of Rimmel London Scandaleyes to your lashes (three coats if you are feeling uber adventurous).
8: Apply a coat of Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in #10 and you are all set for a night of fun!
