Grey, rainy skies can be so uninspiring – which is why it’s the perfect time to add a burst of colour to your look. And it needn’t be too drastic. Simply add a bright coloured lipstick to your make-up kit and you’ll be right up there with the beauty trends for autumn!
And speaking of beauty trends and bright coloured lipstick, we loved the Napoleon Perdis make-up look recently sported at the Karla Spetic Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011 show. The look was simple, stylish and most importantly, super easy to achieve.
Follow these quick tips and you too could be flaunting the same glowing skin and bright lips as the models on the Karla Spetic catwalk…
1.) For a glowing, flawless-looking complexion you’ll need to make sure your skin is properly prepped. Apply some Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot Skin Renewal Serum onto a cleansed face, and follow with Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer.
2.) To ensure your lips stay the focus of your face, keep your eye make-up look simple. Just add a sweep of neutral eye shadow (try Napoleon Perdis Colour Disc in Skinny Dip), and use a brow pencil to slightly accentuate your brows. Oh, and don’t forget some mascara too!
3.) When wearing bright lipstick it’s vital that you apply it properly to ensure that it doesn’t ‘bleed’. “This bright orange lip needs to remain sleek and clean – don’t attempt it without liner. You’ve been warned!” says Napoleon Perdis. Start by lining your lips with a lip liner that matches your chosen lipstick, and then follow by applying your lipstick with a lip brush for extra precision. In this look Napoleon used Napoleon Perdis Lip Pencil in Pinot Noir in conjunction with Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Tiara.
What do you think of this bright lip look?
If you could only wear one shade of lipstick for the rest of your life, what would it be?
