The Ordinary is launching cheap as chips concealers

If there’s one affordable beauty brand we all know and love, it’s The Ordinary.

Whether you’ve picked up one of the brand’s hyaluronic acid serums, rosehip oil or beloved niacinamide before, the single-ingredient and price-friendly products have certainly taken the skin care world by storm since its launch in 2016.

And now, adding to the brand’s ‘Colours’ line (which currently consists of foundations and primers) is a further foray into the makeup space: concealer.

Yep, The Ordinary’s brand new concealer is expected to become available via Deciem.com on the 19th January, 2021. What a way to start the year.

Boasting 36 shades, the formula is already promising high-spreadability and high coverage, but with a ‘real skin finish’. And, being a part of the faithfully fuss-free brand, it’s also made to be used however you like; whether it be under the eyes, applied with fingers or used to blend away imperfections.

But we know you’re all waiting for the best part… the price. Well, if you’ve got a spare tenner and can rummage for some change in the car, it’ll be all yours. $10.80 is all it takes.

No word yet as to when it will physically be in-store in Australia, but with the rest of the range stocked in Priceline and Deciem stores dotted around the country, we’re sure it will soon follow the online launch.

Can’t wait? Here are 5 budget-friendly concealers we love:

  1. essence camouflage+ matt concealer ($6)
  2. Models Prefer Argan Infusion Concealer ($9.99)
  3. NYX Professional Makeup HD Photogenic Concealer Wand ($9.95)
  4. MUD Flawless Finish Concealer ($7)
  5. Natio Natural Cover Concealer ($16.95)

Have you tried any The Ordinary products? What’s your favourite budget concealer?

  1. Im late to the party……nope I havent tried any of the products as yet but I have heard a lot of positive things about them. My youngest daughter has just started using the skincare.

  2. Finally! Been waiting for this for years since Nicola Kilner talked about it in an interview back then.

I find it hard to find a perfectly matching foundation for my skin tone and their 1.2Y shade matches me perfectly. I am currently using and liking their serum foundation – it’s very light in texture and I love the natural coverage.

  3. I have enjoyed using The Ordinary brand skin care products over the last 8 months. Some provide immediate results whilst others take a few weeks to notice any visible changes.
Main benefits for me are reduction in pore size & balanced skin. I had oily/combination skin & would wake with a very oily T-zone. Now I wake to smooth oil free skin.
The trick is navigating the range & selecting suitable products.
Also retinol v’s retinoid. And availability of these products.
As far as primer & foundation go I use the silicone primer & serum foundation. Such a large range of colours & I found 3 that suit my skin tone.
I’m looking forward to trying their concealer.

  4. Love The Ordinary! Use their skincare and foundation. In the skincare range I like the Borage Oil, Mandelic Acid, Squalane cleanser, Buffet, Argireline and lots more. Their foundation goes on very smoothly and doesn’t look or feel heavy which is great for me as I like a natural look. Am very keen to try their concealer.

  5. Some one. In the beauty industry told me. To try. The Ordinary. Hyaluronic serum. And moisturizer. And since doing it. I have noticed. A big difference on my skin I no longer have dark patches and uneven skin tone. My wrinkles are less prominent v and over all. I can see the change. I will be using. These products. Permanently and looking at other item in the range. And the big plus is that it is so affordable especially. For some one on a fixed income. I can budget for it. On a regular basis.

  6. I use quite a lot of their skincare but I don’t know if I would buy these, I don’t wear much makeup, I like to look after my skin and hope The Ordinary products keep it looking good enough that I don’t need to cover it.

  7. I love ‘The Ordinary’ products I currently own, so I’m quite excited to try their new concealer especially at such a fabulous price. One of my favourite budget concealers is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer which blends well with my high end foundations.
