Yep, Penelope has signed on to be the new Bond girl in the sequel to the insanely popular 007 film, Skyfall.
Penelope, who is pregnant with her second child, is set to start filming next year. Penelope’s husband, Javier Bardem, played the villain in the last 007 flick – so fans are hoping that this loved-up couple will hit the big screen together for the sequel.
It has been reported that Penelope has been sought after for a Bond Girl role for quite some time, but has never been able to sign on due to other commitments. At 40 years of age, she will be the oldest Bond Girl ever. You go girl!
In other breaking news – there’s going to be a sequel to Skyfall! Yep, let’s not forget about how exciting that is! The highest-ever grossing 007 of all time is reportedly set to release a sequel in 2014, or early 2015.
We just can’t wait.
