Concealer comes in four main colour groups: skin/natural, yellow, green and purple. What are they all for? Well…
Skin tone concealer is used for basic blemishes and spots and can generally be worn on it’s own if desired.
Yellow concealer is used for covering dark circles, because the yellow pigments counteract the darkness.
Green concealer is used to cover redness, because the green pigments neutralise red skin tones.
Purple concealer is used to brighten up sallow-looking skin because the purple pigments neutralise yellow skin tones.
Don’t go OTT with a coloured concealer or you could end up looking like a clown – and make sure you apply your usual foundation over it after use.
