Since its debut, BB cream has become an absolute summer beauty must-have. And these days, the multi-tasking product is a staple in many of our makeup bags. But, as Australians, we all know that a makeup product is only as good as its SPF.
When you’re looking for a BB cream, it’s important that it offers adequate protection from our country’s harsh sun and helps to boost the work of your face sunscreen. The best BB creams will offer at least an SPF 15, contain moisturising properties and give skin a natural glow.
Here are our top eight picks of the best BB creams with the added benefit of SPF.

Have you tried any of these BB creams? Which other beauty products with the added benefit of SPF protection do you use?
I really want to try La Roche-Posay BB cream, its on my list of items that I want to buy 🙂
I really want to try the Bioderma!
Oo some products on the list i’d really like to try. But I barely use BB Cream so a tube would last me agess
Definitely want my BB cream to be much less than a foundation but that’s a personal preference. I’m still looking as I want something soft and very natural looking that suits my fair skin.
I really like LRP products, so I might give their BB cream a go.
I’m still looking for a good one, I might try a couple of these.
I love BB creams. I have the Maybelline BB cream to try in my stash.
I’ve not used a BB cream before. I’m not sure if I want to try or not.
I think I’ll have to pick up the Bioderma one. Or LRP.
Do like Bioderma one, but with time when tube is opened and used, it got darker a bit. And as it is chemical based it does burn my eyes if I wear it all day and near my eyes.
I have Garnier one too, but there is no actual spf in it (labeled as spf15, but there is only UVB filter, so not counted)
Haven’t tried any of these but Bioderma is on my to-get list.
Bioderma is the one I’d like to try.
I’ve tried one by Garnier, but not the one pictured. It worked really well.
I’ve never seen the need for a BB cream. Surely primer & foundation does the job?
Good to know…
I have been using BB Cream from some time now. After reading the above I am going to try the BIODERMA Photoderm BB Cream SPF 50+
It’s great to now have more product choices like these with SPF50 instead of SPF15
Sadly I need something with more coverage than BB cream
Love BB cream. Wish there was more shade choice. The Bioderma in Nude might suit me.
The light shade in Bioderma is too dark for me, as is the light shade in Garnier. I like the formulas but not the shade choices. I might check out the Maybelline Dream BB Cream.
I do like a BB cream. I wonder if there is enough sun protection for everyday wear?
I’ve not tried any of these but love my Ultraceuticals, Olay Whip & Tbh all with added Spf protection.
I have previously used the Garnier BB which I like for a dewy look. I’d like to try BIODERMA because I have a few of their products that I use and like.
I use a La Roche Posay sunscreen but wasn’t happy with their previous tinted BB Creams. Might need to give it another try.
Love Garnier BB Cream – so natural looking
Until Garnier changed the BB Cream formula (as in made it stink to high heaven with Linalool) I never bothered with foundation. It was absolute perfection.
I am seeing more and more that fragrance is being chucked out of products, and as someone with severe allergies to Linalool, I cannot wait!
Keeping fingers crossed that Garnier will be chucking it out of their amazing BB Cream.
Of all of these I would love to try the Bioderma one.
I found the La Roche-Posay one to be much to dark for my skin. It looked like I had a very bad fake tan on. eek!
Great options! The new Maybelline one looks really nice now.
I need that NBN bb cream.
Lovely brands, model co make one too
I’ve just started in Missha’s Perfect Cover B.B Cream SPF42 PA+++, I’m NC17 and shade #21 works well. It applies a little grey but somehow magically blends in and makes my skin look even and naturally radiant. My husband commented on how good my skin looked that very morning, and asked if I was using something new 😛
Aaargh BH website still not allowing me to comment, a long comment I typed out is now gone
I wanted to share about the famous Missha BB cream which I just started – one of the best I’ve ever used.
Love using BB cream
Ooh, I would love to try the Bioderma one!
The Bioderma one is lovely, would love to try the Skin Physics one
I love BB cream. So simple and convenient to use when you are in hurry.
I want to try the la Roche bb cream too. As I live their moisturisers and cleaners
I haven’t tried any of these products.
I love the Avene, but you use such a small amount, don’t just rely on these for your sun protection as you simply cannot use enough product (they say around half a teaspoon minimum)
I want to try the Lancome too
