Spotted at the Logies: the best and worst beauty looks

Australian television’s big night never fails to deliver on the beauty front. Having a good old peek at the hair, make-up and fashion choices of the stars as they arrive is almost more exciting than the awards themselves. So, which famous faces dazzled us this year? And who didn’t quite hit the mark? Here are our picks for the best and worst looks from the red carpet.

The standout winners:

Natalie Bassingthwaite

Topping our list, the stunning X-Factor judge channelled old Hollywood glamour, with glossy finger waves and a deep red lip that went perfectly with her lilac dress.

Melanie Vallejo

The Winners and Losers actress was definitely a winner in the beauty stakes. She rocked a tousled chin-length bob and a burgundy lip, for an ultra-glam Logies look.

Lauren Phillips

A regular fixture on the red carpet, Miss Phillips showed off her dress’ beaded neckline with a sleek high ponytail. She completed the look with a rosy complexion and bright lipstick.

And the looks that didn’t quite work:

Susie Elelman

The former television host drew criticism for her dress, but we’re more concerned with her severe make-up look. Next time, we recommend she tone down the eyeliner and consider a crème blush for a bit of colour.

Michelle Bridges

After wowing us with her loose waves last year, Michelle’s tight curls missed the mark. Hair aside, the fitness guru would have looked ten times better with the addition of some bronzer to highlight her features.

Danni Minogue

When it came to her make-up, we think Danni should have stuck to the less-is-more rule. Her aqua eyes and pink lips were stunning – just not together.

What was your favourite make-up look from the Logies? Who else do you think belongs on our list?
