So Jess and Justin have taken a trip to Splitsville (allegedly)…it’s happened to the best of us at some time or another and what better way to get over a break up than to seek comfort from your make-up.
A break up can leave you feeling far from beautiful but take some good advice from one of bh’s favourite celebrities Gwyneth Paltrow, who once said: “beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.” Hear, hear, Gwynie. How about one of these beauties for a killer red pout? MAC Viva Glam Lipstick in Viva Glam, Covergirl Outlast Lipstain in Wild Berry Wink (more rosy than red but results in luscious lips all the same!), Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Lipstick in Mystere.
Wipe away those tears (they’ll play havoc with your foundation) and brighten sad peepers with a few dabs of illuminator underneath the eyes. Try: Clinique Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator. And just in case, apply lashings of Rimmel London 100% Waterproof Mascara.
Completely forget said boy’s (a.k.a rat) name by chilling out completely. How? By indulging in that massage you’ve been putting off since time began. My fave is a four-hand massage or aromatherapy massage. Check out a salon near you.
And while you’re in the process of ‘out with the old, in with the new’, apply the same principle to your make-up kit. You don’t have to go nuts but at least treat yourself to a few new additions.
Feeling a little better? Good, now go lock in a night out with that super confident girlfriend your ex-boyfriend didn’t approve of.
