Sarah Jessica Parker Has Never Tried Contouring, And TikTok’s The Reason Why

She captured hearts portraying the iconic fashionista Carrie Bradshaw and now she’s captivated beauty lovers’ undivided attention as a skin care spokeswoman. In a world where the beauty industry continually evolves with groundbreaking innovations, Sarah Jessica Parker stands tall as a beacon of timeless elegance.

Proudly championing her acting legacy, audiences recently reacquainted with the screen siren, thanks to the reprisal of her roles as Sarah Sanderson in Hocus Pocus 2 and, of course, Carrie herself in And Just Like That.

Her magnetic presence has made her a beloved figure not only on the silver screen but also within the realms of beauty and fashion. Beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, SJP’s genuine passion for skin care and self-care shines through in her beauty routine and philosophy.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s approach to social media

Much like her devotion to her iconic roles, SJP remains loyal to her tried and true beauty faves. Nothing beats the classics and, to the actress, this extends to TikTok trends.

Speaking to The Zoe Report, she revealed, “I don’t know trends, I’m not on TikTok so I don’t know what people are doing. I’ve never done contouring or shading or wearing false eyelashes or anything.”

She echoed this sentiment when speaking to Glossy; “I’ve never been on TikTok,” she said.

We don’t blame you, SJP! Wish we could curb our app addictions that easily…

Nevertheless, her pared-back approach to skin care and makeup is reflective of her overarching beauty philosophy.

“I certainly have an interest in taking care of my skin. I’m vain enough to want it to look as best as it can. We live, we wake up, we hope to add another day, we hope to add another month, we hope to add another year. And with that comes a lot of hugely important, valuable, meaningful experiences,” she said to Glossy.

It’s this stance that has landed her the role of RoC Skincare ambassador. For the second year in a row, she has signed as a partner to the brand’s #LookForwardProject, an initiative centred around embracing optimism while ageing.

For SJP, this means engaging in self care; emotionally and physically.

While keeping a healthy distance from social media is one component, as beauty aficionados, we could never forget the products themselves!

These are a few of her favourites…

Sarah Jessica Parker’s beauty routine

RoC Retinol Correxion Max Hydration Cream

According to SJP, she uses this cream “very deliberately, every single night.” If it gives her that Carrie-level glow, it ought to be good!

RoC Multi Correxion Revive + Glow Gel Cream

As a new addition to her routine, Sarah has introduced the Revive + Glow slowly.

“I tend to use new things sort of slowly because I’m not sure, especially if it has retinol or any corrective stuff in it. I tend to be a little bit careful with the process because I have sensitive skin,” she says.

Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick

Sarah Jessica Parker is a known fan of Laura Mercier’s Eye Sticks. Thanks to their convenient stick application and easy-to-blend cream formula, she often opts for the shades ‘Khaki’, ‘Jungle’ and ‘Tuxedo.

Stila Convertible Colour Cream Blush in ‘Petunia’

SJP’s makeup artist on and off screen, Elaine Offers, often uses the Stila Convertible Colour Cream Blush. For a healthy, flushed look, she will opt for the actress’ favourite shade, ‘Petunia’.

  1. I love the idea of the #LookForwardProject, there is so much pressure on people to look young at any cost. It would be great if we were all more comfortable in our skin at any age.

  2. I laughed when I read “I’m vain enough to want it to look as best as it can” because it reminded me of a friend who went to a school reunion this year. She was asked by a male if she is High Maintenance. She had a fabulous come back “If you mean I look after myself, then Yes”.
