Patrick recently told Forbes his best tricks for keeping skin and makeup #flawless while travelling. So if you’re heading on holidays, listen up!
Makeup removal is a must
Your pores get clogged when you fly, especially if you’re wearing makeup. So Patrick stresses that you need to take your makeup off. If you can’t take it off before or during your flight, Patrick suggests using a wipe or micellar water so your skin can still breathe.
Use a setting spray
If you need or want to wear makeup on a flight, Patrick recommends using a setting spray beforehand. You can also use it to refresh your makeup throughout or after a flight.

Take a touch-up tool kit
No matter how you’re travelling, Patrick recommends you always carry three makeup products for touch-ups. For a quick refresh, he will use lipstick, mascara and an eyebrow pencil.
Have hydrated skin
We all know how much flying can dry out skin, so Patrick recommends drinking plenty of water and using a hydrating skin care product before the journey. The La Mer ambassador uses La Mer The Concentrate the night before and morning of a flight.
Freshen up that face
To keep your skin looking matte, Patrick suggests blotting papers over powder. If you’re applying powder over and over on a long flight, the product can build up and look a little cakey.
