Most celebrities who attend red carpet events like the Met Gala and its west coast equivalent, the Academy Museum Gala, partner with luxury makeup brands for these special evenings.
But Nicole Kidman, a proud Neutrogena ambassador, isn’t married to premium name brands.
As we found out recently, her favourite blushes — Benefit Benetint Cheek & Lip Tint ($42 at Sephora) and Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick ($73 at Westman Atelier) — reflect her fondness for beauty products from all price points.
The same can be said for her recent makeup look for the Academy Museum Gala, where Nicole wore a full face of affordable Australian brand Nude By Nature.
Nicole’s makeup artist, Kate Synnott, shared a sneak peek of some of the products she used on The Perfect Couple actress via Instagram. So naturally we hunted down all the items we recognised in the images to add to our own collections. Thankfully, we didn’t have to look too hard because all of the product’s Kate used on Nicole are available at Chemist Warehouse and Priceline.
The Nude By Nature makeup products Nicole Kidman uses
To amplify the luminosity of Nicole’s porcelain skin, Kate created a lightweight base of makeup.
She minimised the shadow under Nicole’s eyes and cancelled out any visible redness using the Nude by Nature Flawless Concealer in ’02 Porcelain Beige’ ($13.47 from Chemist Warehouse).
Next, she unified her complexion by buffing a lightweight layer of Nude By Nature Flawless Pressed Powder Foundation in ‘W1 Light’ ($42.95 from Priceline). Then, she set the makeup with a pearlescent veil of the Nude by Nature Translucent Loose Finishing Powder in ‘Pearl’ ($15 from Chemist Warehouse).
To enhance the natural flush of Nicole’s cheeks and pout, Kate blended the Nude by Nature Virgin Blush ($12.47 from Chemist Warehouse) onto the apples of her cheeks in an upwards motion. Then she applied a healthy layer of the Nude by Nature Moisture Infusion Lip Gloss in ’04 Tea Rose’ ($11.47 from Chemist Warehouse) to her lips.
We also spotted a trio of Nude By Nature makeup brushes in Kate’s Instagram post. Although we’re not exactly sure when she used them in the makeup routine, we can theorise.
The Nude by Nature Buffing Brush 08 ($8 from Chemist Warehouse) works with powder and liquid base makeup products. So we reckon this responsible for blending Nicole’s foundation and concealer.
Whilst the Nude By Nature Angled Blush Brush 06 ($15.97 from Chemist Warehouse) perfectly hugs the contours of the face for a flawless finish. And the Nude by Nature Setting Brush 21 ($9.47 from Chemist Warehouse) allows for the detailed application of pressed and loose setting powder in hard to reach spots like under the eyes.

I agree, Nude by Nature is good.
Nude by nature is a bit more natural than other products, not surprised Nicole uses them, but then again she may have more upmarket products that are natural that she uses too.
