But like most things in life, this foundation wasn’t entirely perfect. There were a couple of teeny tiny issues we Aussie and Kiwi users wanted fixed, and over the past few years, we’ve voiced them to Team Revlon. And guess what? They’ve listened to our constructive criticism and made some wonderful improvements to this much-loved long-wear foundation simply because we asked for it…
WHAT WE ASKED FOR: a pump dispenser for easy and hygienic use
WHAT REVLON HAVE DONE: given us just that: a new pump dispenser for no fuss, easy application. Yep, no more having to tip the bottle upside down so you can pour the foundation into your hand – now you can just pump once or twice depending on your needs. Better yet, it means no more wastage.
WHAT WE ASKED FOR: a higher SPF for better sun protection
WHAT REVLON HAVE DONE: upped the former SPF 6 to a more effective sun protection factor of 20 in the Normal/Dry foundation variants, and 15 in the Combination/Oily varieties. (This doesn’t mean you can skip the sunscreen application, though. Apply both for adequate protection, please.)
WHAT WE ASKED FOR: more effective long-wearing formula
WHAT REVLON HAVE DONE: its SoftFlex technology has always provided comfortable longwearing coverage, but the new time release technology means your make-up will stay in place for up to 24 hours if need be, while still looking fresh and natural. Amazing.
Aren’t Revlon just grand? Um, yes. Team Revlon has also informed me Australians and New Zealanders will be the first to try out the new mess-free pump bottles, because without our requests, the new design probably wouldn’t even exist. What a treat, huh? Oh, and said new packaging is rolling out in stores right now, so make sure you keep an eye out for it.
Have you tried Revlon ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex in Normal/Dry or Oily/Combination before? Are you interested in trying it? And are you excited to hear its made changes to its formula because of our requests?
