Natasha Lyonne Stuns With A Sultry Smokey Eye At The Critics Choice Awards

The Critics Choice Awards are always a showcase of Hollywood’s finest talents and styles, and this year was no exception. Among the stars, Natasha Lyonne stood out with her mesmerising makeup, masterfully crafted by renowned makeup artist Jo Baker

Natasha, known for her bold and unapologetic style both on and off the screen, presented a look that was a perfect testament to her unique persona.

This year, she chose to enchant with a softer, yet undeniably impactful makeup style. Her look was a harmonious blend of sultry smokey eyes and radiant, glowing skin, striking a balance between classic glamour and modern sophistication.

Here’s a breakdown of how the look was accomplished…

Skin prep

Natasha’s makeup artist, Jo, prepped her skin perfection before applying her base.

She used the Retrouvé Nutrient Face Serum ($279.81 at REVOLVE) for its intensive hydrating and rejuvenating properties, and followed it up with the Retrouvé Nourishing Face Cream ($222.21 at REVOLVE), leaving the skin supple and ready for makeup. To add a touch of sheer coverage and luminosity, she then applied the Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Complexion Drops ($109 at MECCA) to the skin.

Eyes

The eyes were the highlight of Lyonne’s makeup, featuring a soft smokey effect that exuded a sultry charm. To achieve this, Jo used the Chanel Eyeshadow Quad in ‘204 Tisse Vendome’ ($109 at David Jones), offering a range of bronze tones that perfectly complemented Lyonne’s eye colour. To add depth and dimension, Jo used the Stila Suede Shade in ‘Sheer Terracotta’ ($40 at MECCA), a subtle yet impactful choice that accentuated the eyes.

Finishing up with Bakeup Beauty’s Tarantulash ($27 at Amazon), Lyonne’s eyes truly popped, adding to the overall smokey effect.

Lips

To balance the dramatic eyes, Lyonne’s lips were kept understated with a muted pink matte lipstick. This choice was intentional, drawing attention to the eyes while maintaining a harmonious overall look.
