There’s something about a punchy lip colour on a red carpet that always grabs our attention. And while there were many outstanding Met Gala beauty looks this year, Miranda Kerr’s vampy lipstick moment scored 10/10 from us.

So, naturally, we did some digging to find out the exact product behind it. Her makeup artist (and hairstylist) for the event was Ericka Verrett, who exclusively used ILIA Beauty for Miranda’s elegant look.

When we reached out and asked for the details, she revealed that two shades were responsible for crafting the perfect lip colour…

Ericka shared that the lipstick in question was the ILIA Colour Block Lipstick ($47 at MECCA) in the shades ‘Tango’ (left) and ‘Ultra Violet’ (right).

‘Tango’ is a deep red shade with neutral undertones, while ‘Ultra Violet’ is a cool-toned violet.

This isn’t the first time the product has been featured in Miranda’s beauty routine, either. She often uses the shade ‘Marsala’ for her own cream blush hack, where she mixes it with face oil. Genius!

More Miranda Kerr Met Gala beauty details

Considering Miranda’s preference for clean and organic beauty, the use of ILIA’s products for the Met was only fitting.

Other standout steps shared by Erika include the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 ($79 at MECCA) and ILIA True Skin Serum Concealer ($50 at MECCA) for her glowing base.

We also know from previous interviews that Miranda loves to use an LED mask. She once shared her favourite from Amazon and if there was ever a time for an at-home treatment, it’s before a red carpet.

Never tried an LED mask? bh recommends the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask ($515 at Current Body).
