Miranda Kerr’s Cream Blush Hack Has Changed The Way We Do Our Makeup

No one does fresh and natural radiance quite like Miranda Kerr. And now – superfoods, wacky beauty treatments and impeccable genetics aside – the Kora Organic’s founder has revealed one of her best kept secrets for achieving a flushed, lit-from-within-glow. Drumroll please… It’s a cream blush!

However, not the kind that we’re used to. Instead, Miranda has concocted her own custom blend using her favourite lipstick and a face oil.

Yes, you read that correctly.

And of course, you could always just go out and purchase an existing cream blush. But, once you catch a glimpse of Miranda’s dewy and delicate end result, it’s hard not to give this method a crack.

Here’s how to create Miranda’s “healthy cream blush”…

“I’m using the Ilia Color Block Lipstick ($47, MECCA) in shade ‘Marsala’, and I put a little on the back of my hand here,” she explained. Ilia’s hydrating lipsticks have been enriched with castor seed and mango seed oil, giving them a smooth and creamy finish.

Plus, the new lipstick formulation offers four times more pigment than their predecessor, making for a much richer colour payoff.

Next, “I add a drop of the Noni Glow Face Oil and then using your finger, you just mix it together [on the back of your hand] and add a little bit to your cheeks,” she said, dabbing the blush to the apples of her cheeks.

To finish, Miranda tied the look together by using the lipstick as it was intended – on her lips.

And there you have it, the perfect fresh-faced, delicate blush for winter.

  1. I appreciate her effort to try and find interesting ways to use her products for selling purposes, but I’d much prefer to just buy a cream blush separately, less messy than mixing an oil with lipstick on your hand. I can understand doing that if you really want to match the cheek colour with the lip colour though, when there is no match available.
