I don’t know if you noticed, but Meghan Markle got married a couple of weeks ago. She got hitched to Prince Harry and is now the Duchess Of Sussex – so you could say things are going pretty well for her. The highlight, for us, was Meghan’s wedding makeup. It was simple, fresh and glowy. She even kept her signature freckles peeking through her foundation.
Naturally though, we weren’t the only ones obsessed with her makeup. The internet is abuzz with lists of the products used and tutorials on how to recreate the look. But the obsession has been taken a step further…people are now getting freckles tattooed to look like Meghan’s.

Freckle tattoos aren’t anything new. They had a trendy moment last year. But ever since Meghan flaunted her freckles down the aisle, there appears to have been an increase in the popularity of the treatment.
According to NewBeauty, cosmetic tattoo artist Gabrielle Rainbow has reported a spike in requests for semi-permanent freckle tattoos. Gabrielle reports that things have been “crazy busy” since the Royal Wedding and suspects that it may have “boosted customers’ interest in the whole idea of freckles.” And to think I spent years wishing I could will my freckles away!
Look, we’re not surprised. We can’t get enough of Meghan Markle right now. But, if you don’t want to go (tat)too extreme, you can try a little makeup magic. Gently dot a brow or eye pencil where you think the sun would naturally hit your face and voila, you’re Meghan Markle! beautyheaven loves the Mode Eye Pencil in Brown or the MUD Brow Pencil in Brunette.
Do you have freckles? If not, would you ever fake them with makeup or a tattoos?
