Maybelline New York FITMe Matte + Poreless Foundation is formulated for normal-to-oily skin, and helps to mattify skin and blur the appearance of pores.
Overall, testers found the medium-coverage foundation applied easily and helped to control shine for most of the day. While some did experience oiliness by the end of the day, they expressed that it was less than usual.
As well as the mattifying effect, reviewers with pore issues were pleased to find the formulation helped to conceal pores, and ‘blurred’ them so they appeared less noticeable.
In terms of how the product looked and felt, many mentioned the foundation felt lightweight on their skin and left a natural finish that wasn’t too ‘caked on’. The majority of testers were also impressed with the staying power of the formulation.
Many members of the Trial Team mentioned they would have preferred if the bottle came with a pump, as this would help to reduce wastage. Those who suffered from dry skin on some areas on their face also said the foundation tended to enhance them, so they suggested the formula wasn’t the best for those with dry skin.

ays matte all day long and definitely has a pore-minimising effect that lasts into the evening – no need to re-apply, even though it’s very thin in texture and lightweight, which I find unusual for a matte foundation.

e winter cold weather, I don’t even have to blot or powder my face for this foundation to last over 6 hours. During this time, the foundation does not feel heavy, sticky or make my face look like a greaseball. I love the fact that my face feels fresh, light and looks flawless without caking on any powder at all. Absolutely amazing!

wearing and sweating through it for a full day, it was still wonderfully matte and stayed in place, without my skin feeling awfully grubby or gross! I’m really impressed with this foundation, and I’d definitely buy it for myself in the future!

foundation was surprisingly one of the best I’ve tried and definitely has me considering switching to matte finish foundations. It has a perfect matte finish, which doesn’t dry out my skin but instead leaves it feeling smooth and looking flawless.

e combination skin, and I’ve had no luck with mattifying foundations up until now (because they usually accentuate my pores and cling to dry skin areas), so it was such a nice surprise to apply this foundation and watch my pores disappear without having to suffer that horrible dry “cakey” look that other matte foundations have imparted.
