If you’re not familiar with floating crease eyeliner, it’s where you draw on liner in the crease of your eye, instead of on the lash line, so it appears as if it is floating above the eye.
The charm of floating crease eyeliner is that you can make it kind of subtle, but you can also go to town with it. The graphic look works fabulously with festival makeup. So if you’re planning on heading to a music festival sometime soon, swipe some floating shimmer or neon eyeliner onto your crease to take your look to the next level.
Itching to try the eyeliner trend out? Just make sure you’re precise. The look only really works if you get the line in the right place. After priming your eyelids and putting on a base eyeshadow colour, close, then slowly open your eyes in front of a mirror to see where your crease lies. Next, draw an arc just above it. If you’re worried about the steadiness of your hand, you can draw a soft line or dots as a guide and then go over it after.
Try the trend with the Bourjois Clubbing Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil or e.l.f. cosmetics Essentials Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil.
