1. Lash Me Sophie Eyelashes, $7.95
For supremely flutterable lashes, fake it. These reuseable strips make it a cinch. Just squeeze a little of the included adhesive onto the back of your hand, trail the strip through it, place the lashes as close as you can to your natural lash line and hold… Voila! Then just a little make-up remover and they’re easy to peel off. This fine black fan design of these lashes lengthens at the outer ends for high voltage glamour even Edie Sedgwick would envy…
Tip: If you’re afraid of taking the diva effect into drag territory, trim a little length before you attach them. Applying the strip with tweezers might help you get closest to your natural lash line and filling in gaps with black liner will help disguise fudges.
2. ELES Sensitive Mascara, $31.50
Add extra wattage to your wink without itching or stinging. A hypoallergenic, water-based formula designed for sensitive peepers, this mascara uses minerals to give you long, glamorous lashes that won’t clump.
3. Jan Marini Skin Research Age Intervention Eyelash, $275
Whether you want to channel the 60s or you’re in your 60s, this lash treatment promises to help you grow longer, lusher natural lashes. The formula protects against breakage and the wear and tear that sabotages your lashes, helping them appear fuller, stronger and darker. $275 is a six month investment.
4. Dermalogica Soothing Eye Make-up Remover, $44.50
With all this lash-loving going on, a great eye make-up remover is a must. This gentle, alcohol-free formula blitzes through mascara without damaging lashes or stinging eyes and leaves no oily residue hanging around in the process. Just remember the technique: press moistened pads onto your eyes, gently grasp your lashes and glide…
5. ModelCo Lash Wand, $29.95
An eyelash curler is good, but this heated eyelash curler is a wide-eyed wonder. Just flip the switch and apply the wand like mascara for extra sexy curves that never look ‘crimped’.
6. Too Faced Lash Gems, $27
Like nail art and dental diamantes, lash jewellery is not for the shrinking violet. But if you think you can pull off wearing bling on your blinkers, more power to you. This set comprises pink, blue, white and black spheres that fix to your tips for eye-catching twinkle.
7. Blinc Mascara, $45
Forming tiny, water-resistant ‘tubes’ around each eyelash for ultimate lift, separation and va va voom, this is like a wonderbra for your lashes. Loved by showgirls for a gravity-defying look that won’t smudge or flake, the tubes then slip off between your fingers when you’re done. Fabulous.
8. ModelCo Lash Out individual lashes, $18
Added to the outer corners of your eyes, individual lashes create a seductive feline effect. Attached with a dot of clear glue (included), these curled clusters can be worn alone or with lashings of black mascara for a traffic-stopping effect.
I like the white eye lash primers too
