Kerri-Anne Kennerley said no to appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here for 12 years. So what made the Australian TV legend finally say yes? Beauty demands, of course.

We often think about what top three items we’d want with us if we were stuck on a desert island (sunscreen, deodorant and a hair tie, duh) but the jungle is a whole different ball game.

And considering her time at camp would be televised across the country, Kerri-Anne’s appearance was subject to “a few provisos”.

Kerri-Anne’s beauty demands for ‘I’m A Celebrity…’

Speaking to news.com.au, Kerri-Anne confirmed the obvious. AKA she’s getting a big fat pay cheque for her time on I’m A Celebrity... but that’s not all.

“I get to take makeup,” she said. “Natural is very overrated.”

And in case you were wondering, it hasn’t taken long for the other contestants to notice her ‘special treatment’. A preview of tonight’s episode shows ex-MAFS star Domenica Calarco confronting the issue.

“I was just wondering … how does one get allowed face wash and makeup in the jungle?” she asks Kerri-Anne.

To which the 69-year-old responds, “Umm, one gets allowed it when one makes it a condition of coming in. And that was an actual deal-breaker.”

Prior to going into the jungle, Kerri-Anne said that if another contestant were to be jealous of her creature comforts, “they should just get better management”. So we think it’s safe to say she won’t be sharing her face wash with Dom.

She’s also not the first celebrity to work some conditions into her contract. In 2016, Shane Warne was famously given permission to smoke throughout his appearance on the show.

Cigarettes or foundation, we know which one we’re asking for.

Are you watching ‘I’m A Celebrity…’? What beauty demands would you make for going into the jungle?

  1. I’ve seen the show & it’s ridiculous, so I won’t watch it again.

I could put up with a lot, but I wouldn’t eat most of the things in their challenges. I’m on an offal, anus & genital-free diet.

  2. Good on her for insisting on what she wanted before she signed. Imagine going on a show in the jungle WITHOUT sunscreen, moisturiser etc. No thank you. Actually I can’t imagine going on anything like that but I applaud her.

  3. I don’t follow the show but I saw half an episode this week and wandered why she had so much makeup on and no one else appeared to have any. She’s not one of my favourite people.
