Ding ding! In the battle of the Kate’s, round one has gone to Middleton.
The Duchess of Cambridge has proved that she can sell a lippy just as well as a dress, beating celebrities Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham to the title of UK’s most influential beauty icon.
A study conducted by Feel Unique found that 30 percent of UK women polled were more likely to buy products worn by the soon-to-be mum. And why wouldn’t they? Kate has more than impressed us with her flawless skin and perfect hair it’s no wonder women in the UK are dying to replicate it.
But what I really believe has won Kate the title, is her simplistic and natural beauty look. You wouldn’t ever see her wearing neon eyeshadow or a bright bold lip. Her look is natural and seemingly effortless, which is what most women want to achieve on a day-to-day basis. Simple yet beautiful, Kate’s timeless and classy looks are a great inspiration. Here are a few things we’ve learnt from this royal beauty’s routine.
Hair
Besides having her hair blow dried three times a week, Kate also keeps her curls in check with a keratin infusion treatment. The treatment helps to minimise frizz and keep hair healthy. You can achieve the same treatment at home using a product such as Glo Essentials Reparative Keratin Treatment.
Skin
Kate indulges in facials once a month to keep her skin in tip top condition. One of her favourite products used by her facialist is a bee venom mask- often referred to as the natural alternative to botox. Lucky for us the Abeeco Bee Venom Mask means we don’t have to spend a fortune on facials to achieve similar results.
Makeup
Base
Because Kate takes good care of her skin, there isn’t any need for her to wear a heavy foundation or powder. If you too treat your skin right, you can easily get away with just a BB cream or tinted moisturiser for coverage. L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Total Repair 10 BB Cream will help fight against any signs of ageing while giving your skin a subtle glow.
Blush
Kate has confessed to being a big Bobbi Brown fan and alternates between a flush of pale pink and a bronze glow to highlight her cheekbones. Keep the colour subtle to copy her look.
Eyes
While Kate’s complexion is quite basic and simple, she likes to match this with defined eyes. Smoky eyes have become her signature look and she’s hardly ever caught without eyeliner on. On her wedding day she used Lancome’s Artliner.
Do you think Kate deserves the title of beauty icon? What do you like best about her look?
