Now, Kate has become quite the TikToker. When she’s not sharing adorable snippets of her family life or flexing her comedy chops, she has taken to divulging her beauty secrets via personal tutorials (finally!).
Kate Hudson has long been admired not only for her acting talent but also for her natural beauty and effortless style. Now, she’s letting us in on a little secret that promises to elevate our lip game to a whole new level.
Between her skin care and makeup routines, there’s one video in particular that caught our eye – her plump lip hack. While the thought of plump lips in minutes may seem unbelievable, the actress has skillfully mastered the art of applying lipstick for immediately juicier-looking lips.
Kate Hudson’s plump lip hack
Kate’s hack for plumper lips can be easily broken up into three steps: contour, line and colour.
Taking a flat liner brush (such as Morphe’s $13 Flat Liner Definer Brush), Kate lightly dips into a cream contour stick (Westman Atelier Cream Contour Stick in ‘Biscuit’, $77 at MECCA) and applies the product around the perimeter of the lips. Overlining the lips with the contour helps to form a natural shadow for a beautifully-blended lip liner application.
When it comes to liner, Kate enjoys using the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in ‘Pillow Talk’ ($38 at Charlotte Tilbury). She takes the pink-toned nude to trace over the top of the areas she contoured.
To blend the look together, she takes the French girl approach to lipstick, dabbing a red colour into the centre of her lips and blending it out with her finger.
Et voilà! Instantly plumper lips without a needle. Thanks, Kate.
