Kate Hudson Just Rocked A ‘Don’t Worry Darling’-Inspired Look

It’s true what they say: everything will come back into fashion. Whether it’s a brown lipstick straight out of the ’90s, thin eyebrows, or Zoë Kravitz’s take on Audrey Hepburn bangs, beauty is an ongoing time loop and we’re just along for the ride.

Case in point, after the release of the highly-anticipated Don’t Worry Darling, we’ve become a little obsessed with the film’s glamorous ’50s aesthetic. And it seems we’re not alone. Stepping out for the premiere of her newest film, Kate Hudson was rocking a look that we can only describe as being nicked straight from Florence Pugh’s on-set closet.

Kate’s dolled-up and elegant makeup was heavy on the liquid liner, frosty shimmer shadow and blush. Her big hair was held together with a white bow too, much like  the headbands, ribbons and clips we saw both Florence and Oliva Wilde wear throughout the film. Our verdict? Obsessed. Obviously.

Perhaps she’s keen for a cameo in the sequel? Ah, we can dream.

It seems we weren’t the only ones obsessing over this look on Kate. Her celebrity pals came out in full force, flooding her Instagram comments section with endless compliments. She was sent a “that’s hot” from Paris Hilton, a “GORGEOUS!” from Elle Fanning and Leslie Mann even dropped by to tell Kate she looked “so pretty!”. We love supportive friends.

How to re-create Kate’s look…

To complement Kate’s feline-flicked liner (which we recommend testing out with the ulta3 Liquid Eyeliner, $9.50 at ulta3), her nail artist Ashlie Johnson went for a maroon almond-shaped manicure. Though she didn’t name the exact shade used, we love OPI’s Infinite Shine ‘Stick To Your Burgundies’ ($23.95 at Myer) for a similar colour to Kate’s. Ugh, divine.

Here’s hoping Kate’s makeup artist, Tonya Brewer and hairstylist, Gregory Russell, spill the deets on how they achieved this gorgeous look.

What do you think of Kate’s look? Would you like to try this ’50s-inspired glam?
