How to Get The JLo Liner Look

In case you missed it; it’s been a big month for Jennifer Lopez. Case in point? She released a film rolled into a music video, rolled into an album. It sounds like a lot to handle, but JLo has managed it all in her stride.
While “Jenny From The Block” might be a distant memory, this music revival (her first release in 10 years) is bringing back all the 2000s nostalgia and we just “Can’t Get Enough”. JLo’s ninth album ‘This Is Me… Now’, has premiered and taken a whole new direction to other music videos. The feature-length film focuses on the rekindled romance between JLo and her husband Ben Afleck.

‘This Is Me… Now’ Premiere

While the film might be filled with incredible costumes, hairstyles and makeup, it was JLo’s premiere makeup that had us completely enthralled. Why? Well, for starters, superstar makeup artist Mary Phillips was the creator behind the look (and you know she’ll always bring it). And secondly it’s the revival of one of our favourite eyeliner styles as the graphic eyeliner is a whole new much more creative take on the classic winged eyeliner.

Graphic Eyeliner

While the graphic eyeliner look can take shape (literally) in any format, one of our fave styles is the dramatic outlined ‘cut crease’. JLo’s premiere look featured just that, along with a hefty dusting of silver shadow.

While we don’t know the exact products that Mary used to create this iconic look, we know that the makeup artist loves the Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kojal Liner (most likely in shade ‘matte black’, $53 at Victoria Beckham Beauty). The creamy liner gives just the right amount of ‘worn in’ smudge. As for the glittering silver shimmer, we’d imagine that she used the makeup artist staple M.A.C Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in ‘Evening Grey’ ($41 at M.A.C Cosmetics). And for the rest of the look we’re still hoping that Mary will let us in on all the info…
