Quick tips to style your brows

2014 was definitely the year of the power brow, which meant that women started taking more care than ever before with their eyebrows.

So because brows can make a massive difference to your face by giving your features extra definition and helping bring attention to your eyes, we thought it was time to show you how to style your brows (you know, once all that shaping has been done).

Watch the video to see how Bree, beautyheaven’s make-up artist, helps you figure out the ideal shape of your brow and how to fill it in.

Here are the steps in a nutshell:

Find where your brows should start

Take your brow pencil and place it in line with your nostril and the inner corner of your eye. That’s where your brow should start. If you have a wide nose or wide nostrils, you can bring your starting point earlier to make your nose look slimmer.

Find the arch

The highest point of your arch should be at the outer edge of your iris. If you pencil your arch too far in, you’ll make your brows look a little more ‘angry’ than defined. If you have a long face, a softer arch or straight brow will work well for you.

Find where your brows should end

Your brow should end in line with your nostril and the outer corner of your eye.

Use your pencil to create the shape and fill in

Using your brow pencil (Bree used L’Oréal Paris SuperLiner Brow Artist Shaper), gently fill in the gaps and, if need be, create the illusion of your perfect brow shape. Just make sure to keep your strokes soft and gentle. Use feathery motions instead of drawing the lines. This will prevent your brows from looking drawn on.

Set your brows

Once you’ve filled in your brows, take a brow gel (Bree used L’Oréal Paris Brow Artist Plumper) to brush your brows into place and secure them there.
