Silver, spaceman-style was on display at the Fernando Frisoni show at RAFW. Bh’s resident expert, Nicola Burford, revealed the how-to:
The inspiration for this look was a future where the earth has run dry; survival and adaptation is the key. A new tribe and family evolve to live in the harsh environment where beauty and sensuality come not only from the natural elements surrounding them but also from survival and evolution.
To create the looks I adapted and evolved ideas from the stunning portrait photography of Steve McCurry where I found incredible beauty in basic human survival; each time drawn to the eyes of the subjects and the colours found using only the available elements, I wanted to translate this beauty into a science-fiction future.
The look for both boys and girls is a monochromatic sculpted face in earth, sand and ore colours, that’s been hit by sunlight bouncing of the desert sand.
