Face powder is the finishing touch to your make-up routine – and for that reason, the way you apply your loose powder can make or break your final look.
Here’s how to get it right, every time…
It’s all in the brush
Without the right tools, you can end up with a look that’s messy and unpolished. To look chic and get the most our of your face powder, it’s essential to invest in a large, dense powder brush that’s light and fluffy for evenly picking up and distributing the powder over your face. We recommend MAC’s Large Powder Brush 134.
Getting the sweep right
Loose powder application is all about the sweep. Start by gently dabbing your brush in the powder a couple of times. Dabbing too firmly will lead to powder overload and a caked, pale face, so keep good control over your brush by holding the handle close to the bristles. Now tap the base of the handle on a bench a couple of times to remove any excess.
Apply powder to you face by working in light, broad sweeps, concentrating on your nose, forehead, chin and cheeks. Avoid going any area twice to prevent build up. Now you’re done! How easy was that?
