When the highlighting craze started, we fell in love. Not only could we draw attention to our best features – we could make them glow.
Then came some experimentation and things got even better. The highlighting world was our oyster with holographic, chrome and rainbow options. New techniques and tools flooded our feeds and a few wacky trends emerged. (Remember full-face highlighting, anyone?)

Just when it seemed like we had exhausted all options and had no body parts left to highlight, the world found us some more: ears. Yes, that’s right ears.
How could we have forgotten about them?!
It may sound odd, but it’s something makeup artists have been doing for a long time and we have to say – it looks pretty good! Ever since the beauty bloggers of the world caught onto it, the ‘lobe strobe’ has been spreading.

So now, as well as highlighting your cheekbones, nose, cupid’s bow, collarbones, the inner corners of the eye and beneath the brows, you can ALSO add ears to the routine.
If you do want to add a bit of shimmer to your ears, there’s no real how-to to follow. The idea is to just sweep some highlighter on the lobe, inner and outer ear to give them that extra glow.
